The Young in a War of Conscience, Edward Snowden Against the Godless Soulless Personhood of the Corporate / Political State?

First Bradley Manning.

Now Edward Snowden.

The young are throwing the word “conscience” around like they know what it means and the price they must pay to have the courage to use it.
“I’m willing to sacrifice all of that because I can’t in good conscience allow the US government to destroy privacy, Internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they’re secretly building.” ~~ Edward Snowden
The world belongs to the young, their conscience at least, even if they do not own shares in the companies that build drones for profit, guns for profit, spy software used all over this planet.

The best some whistleblower can do is open the secret book for others to see and read.

Implosion - Building 877 Governor’s Island, New York Harbor

Governor’s Island, where the Dutch originally set foot in New Amsterdam (present New York City) but did not settle it because it was too small for both people and the grazing of cows too etc., has been going through changes in the past decade or two since its close as a Coast Guard Facility in the nineties.

Lots of plans for park land and possible college facilities.

The tallest of the buildings used for military personnel housing got imploded today. The first building allowed to be imploded in NYC since before 9-11-2001 BTW. It used to be, before today, a standard landmark for the passing Staten Island Ferry.

It is Time to Go Erdogan – You are A Pig – No Longer as Great as You Think You Are in Turkey

Police Brutality in Turkey

As popular as Ed Koch was as mayor of New York City, when he went for a fourth term, he went in the Primary. Too much of a good thing in a democracy and it is time to go. Same thing for FDR and his fourth term. In retrospect it was too much and in the end, FDR’s ego was too much. America could have finished WWII without him. In fact it did anyway with his death.

The Prime Minister of Turkey has served, self-served for ten years and ego is no substitute for wise and serving government instead of the arrogant thing Prime Minister Erdogan now represents and what his subordinates think they can get away with in abusing passersby such as the infamous now “lady in red” assaulted by one of Erdogan’s police thugs, let along genuine protesters.

The Secular Turkey State needs no return to religion parasitism or phony holier than thou god culture to function.

The people want their park and not a monument to your ego asshole. It is time to go.

The protest found an immediate if reluctant icon in Ceyda Sungur, an academic who became known around the world as the “woman in the red dress” after being pepper-sprayed as she walked from her office past riot police. The poor soul – quite obviously an innocent – was targeted by some dreadful robocop who immediately thinks any girl without a headscarf is fair game. The photographer who captured the shocking image was later in hospital after being shot by police.

You might think that Erdogan would have agreed to halt the building but he went off on a trip around the North African capitals, expecting to be lionised there. He used to be, when he spoke up for the Palestianians, and provoked trouble with Israel, with which Turkey traditionally has good relations, but was snubbed by the Morrocan king.

On his return to Istanbul yesterday, Erodgan was in combative mood, telling supporters that the Taksim development will go ahead – although plans to demolish this Sixties equivalent of the South Bank and replace it with yet another shopping mall and concrete mosque have been shelved, it now seems, in favour of a new cultural centre.

Pioneer Hotel Tucson – Ghost Story – Resurrection of Louis Taylor – Freed After 42 Years Jailed on Flimsy Racist Charges – Accepts Plea Bargain to Gain Freedom

Louis C. Taylor - Tucson Az

I don’t know if Louis Taylor set the fire at the old Pioneer Hotel in Tucson in 1970.

I never heard of Louis or the Pioneer Hotel Fire before I encountered some of the dead ghosts still inhabiting the place, now an office building.

A Symbol For Atheism

Symbol for Atheism

I see that the Mary Madalot O’Hair Atheists are putting up a monument to their particular dogmas of their Atheist religion down there in the swamps of Florida in Starke Florida.

Them Atheists use some atomic symbol as if the universe and or the atom created it all, a form of Deism?

Well there are a lot of shouting Atheist types who know exactly what non-belief in the god thing is. It is still a cottage industry thingy. Still no Vatican size headquarters for any particular Atheist sects and or cults.

Just as I used my own symbol for Agnosticism below, I designed the symbol above in terms of the nature of the beast and of course simplicity.

The Baptist Plot to Steal God – Starke Florida, Bradford County

Baptist Version of Ten Commandments
Starke, Florida

At the monthly meeting or the Qiwanis club at the Stale Beef Steer restaurant, the local Qiwanis (Baptists really, wink nod) were trying  to figure a way, how to get tourists to visit a dead spot in the middle of a dead swamp in Florida.

The Stale Beef Steer’s best tourist review in years was on the wall chalk board:

“Traveling through, we stopped here. The service is very good, but unfortunately food quality was poor...dry chicken, tasteless veggies, and so on. Our server kept our drinks full and was friendly. Won't eat here again.

Course yous won’t eat here again. Yous is tourists. LOL

Well anyway, Harry raised his hand and stated something like “We spent twenty five thousand putting up the Protestant Commanments up at the 'Free Speech' park across from the courthouse and down the street from the Death Row Prison of the Florida Prison system, why come no big crowds of white protestants to come and see our new tourist attraction of the Ten Commanments? Stay for lunch. Fill the local Baptist churches…?”

“Maybe we shud a used them Catholic or Lutheran Commanments?”

“No. God dictated the Protestant Commanments to Moses and God don’t make no mistakes. Besides, who’s gots another 25 grand to attract the flies, the papists, I mean the Catholics.”

“Let’s get them atheists, not the real ones, but the Madeline Mary O’Hair Atheists all riled up and have them build a monument to their false beliefs and denial of the one true God and the one true Baptist religion”.

”Great idea. Those atheists are tax dodges and such. They could use the publically same as us. It is after all just a business, filling the pews on Sundays, putting the fear of God in everybody on both sides of the aisle of belief or non-belief.”

All agreed. Vote. Aye!

Let’s all ajourn and have some real lunch. I vote we move this meeting to the Popeye’s across the street.

Aye! Unanymous.

JP Morgan Chase Continues to Deny Mere Peasants Access to 2 ½ Acre Chase Manhattan Plaza – Oh the Humanity or Rather the Corporate Lack of It

Off Limits to People - Chase Manhattan Plaza

Human beings do not exist on the new Global Spreadsheet. Proof of it is in a once blocked off Cedar Street being given to a public plaza in the early 1960s.

JP Morgan Chase does not want to waste any precious resources like paying minimum wage w/no benefits to guards or cleaning crews on the use of this valuable Manhattan real estate on anything as useless as people / humanity. Real estate that is begging for a sliver skyscraper condo deal?

There is room to breathe, two and a half acres of it. There is reason to delight, in Jean Dubuffet’s monumental sculpture. There is opportunity to reflect, in the austere sunken sculpture court by Isamu Noguchi.

At least there was until September 2011, when JPMorgan Chase, successor to Chase Manhattan, barricaded the plaza. The bank offered no explanation, though the move seemed clearly intended to foreclose any attempted takeover by the Occupy Wall Street movement. As the protesters’ presence diminished downtown, however, the plaza stayed closed. Some construction work occurred, on and off. Chase maintained its silence. And its barricades.

Bradford County Florida Okays Shrines to all The Gods and Beliefs “Free Speech Forum” Outside Court House – Atheist Monument to go up Next to Stone Commandments of Hebrew Testament God

The rednecks in Florida put up a monument to the ten commandments of the mean desert god of Moses, Jesus and Mohammed outside some courthouse.  Now the Atheists have to do a “me too” to their non-beliefs so to speak.
Me, I would prefer to see a monument to the golden oldie of Isis in their Pantheon Garden shrine establishing the recognition of religions, gods, goddesses and other mythical paraphernalia, a religious eyesore in the Florida public square (swamp) of the human condition.

Archbishop Sartain, Please Get Some Control Over Subordinates – BTW – Stop Anti-Gay Bigotry that is becoming the Hallmark of the American RC Catholic Church

Some Conservative Catholic blogs are calling this petition to Archbishop Sartain of Seattle to put a leash on puppy priest Derek Lappe, the next Father Coughlin(?), and rein him in – calling the petition “Liberal” as part of some “Liberal Catholic” agenda.

Conservative, Liberal etc. are political terms. So Jesus was what when he got caught in the middle of Temple Politics 2,000 years ago? Was he sentenced to death for sodomy with Judas as a result?

Probably, considering how all this fuss, refusal of Christian Faith to be practiced, this cannibalistic end game phase of the Catholic church hierarchy, how it is presently going. The money and the hate wags the dog.

Was Jesus guilty of the charges? Who knows. Who really cares. Judged guilty in the “Jewish” blogs of the day? LOL

Who are the ones doing the hating?

Just because your priest in Bremerton Washington is yelling "Queer!" does not mean that he is not BTW.

Personally I would NOT let a child alone anywhere near that, your, Bremerton parish, especially for Scouting.

Archdiocese of Cinncinatti Tries to further Knock up Gay Pregnant Teacher, Adding Insult to Injury by Tossing Her and her Love Child out into the streets

Archbishops Daniel Pilarczyk and Dennis Schnurr of Cincinnatti Ohio, (w/ hands in pockets) explain important new changes in the Third Edition of the Roman Missal in 2010 on You Tube (below)

All life is sacred except when it begins via artificial insemination and with unmarried Hispanic gay females.

No, Archbishop Schnurr is not trying to get into a female teacher’s pants (the catholic god forbid). But fresh from a stint of duty in Snickerdoodle land, Duluth Minnesota, also made famous by alleged coffin sex with consenting adult age seminarians (i.e. Bishop Brom “the vampire” in San Diego Calif. and or mentor of Sally Cordileone) – Archbishop Schnurr’s catholic school system wants to discriminate against female teachers who want to create life in a modern scientific method and maintain the right (far right) – yelling “Religious Liberty” and or “Frankenstein Monster”.

(BTW, Ms. Dias is also “Homosexual” - ya know, that sexual thingy and "Shhh!" that they don't know how to talk about it.)

Trying to pull the Religious minister’s loophole clause that the Catholic Supreme Court of the United States says is okay to fire any church employee for any cause or petty prejudice, a pregnant teacher who got fired and probably lost her health insurance just as she needed it, being pregnant and all that, was rewarded by a jury of her peers (human beings and not church clerics) $170,000 for discrimination.

CINCINNATI (AP) — A jury found an Ohio archdiocese discriminated against a teacher fired after becoming pregnant via artificial insemination, leaving legal experts expecting an appeal they say could have a much wider legal impact.
Christa Dias (what a lovely name), who was fired from two schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in October 2010, was awarded more than $170,000 Monday after winning her federal anti-discrimination lawsuit against the archdiocese.
Dias' attorney, Robert Klingler, argued she was fired simply because she was pregnant and unmarried, a dismissal he said violated state and federal law.
Steven Goodwin, the attorney for the archdiocese and the schools, contended Dias was fired for violating her contract, which he said required her to comply with the philosophies and teachings of the Catholic church. The church considers artificial insemination immoral and a violation of church doctrine.

No Vision – Just Ambition – In America Today

I started writing this less than a week ago and I thought Oh No, another sour grapes thing about the RCC in the seventies in Philly that drove the masses out of the churches and schools in time or at least in the inner city as they are now calling my old neighborhood.

As some friend has described to me, with planned or likely closings of RC churches here, there actually, there will be no RC churches in the Frankford and Harrowgate sections of the city soon.

My own grade school closed in 2003. And the economics of it all is not necessarily racist. The state and city screw things up with popular school vouchers legislation or threat of its passage which from a distance I do not know much about.

I do know that as soon as you add money to a system with school vouchers or even employer covered health or dental care, you directly or indirectly inflate the basic cost of doing business. That is economics and some politics.

That education in America is big business with student loans, seven hundred dollar college text books etc. That is economics and politics.

The real crux of the matter was that jobs first went south and then overseas and emptied the local factories of very marginal jobs of the average factory workers when those jobs went south. That is economics.

Without a job - you and your environment become dysfunctional. Not rocket science to understand.

The above bill board in the shabby shopping district of downtown Philly at Third Street and Market Street was where us factory workers went to find bargains that the department stores  further up the street could not offer us. We paid cash. We had no credit.

The money for that billboard came out of the archdiocese’s coffers or some non-profit organization or the obsessive compulsive wallets of Koch Brothers or Mellon Scaife types doing their social experimentation on the masses.

Like I said I started to write this a few days ago, stopped and erased it. I was inspired at first by the historic photo archives picture because of the date and the subject matter – abortion.

1971 was about the time I stopped going to church.  I was tired of the Sunday pulpit demands to write my state legislature to demand that Catholic Sharia Law on Contraception become the law in Pennsylvania.

Science had made a paradigm shift thing and the new chemistry of birth control just overwhelmed the boys in the RC clergy. They have never caught up.

It is a funny thought and I have mentioned it one way or another in the five years since I started this blog, the church left me, us behind when it abandoned spirituality and went straight for the economic and political approach to human sexuality.

That if an ambitious Cardinal Krol was not hell bent on becoming pope, and attended his flock with some love instead of a Wharton Spreadsheet; maybe the economics and politics of the inner city and the racial divides could have been addressed.

That some jobs in factories could have been saved, that there would have been less racial fear and less white flight to the suburbs and places like Frankford or Harrowgate would still have catholic grade schools, high schools and even churches there today.

In other words, there was no vision.  There seemed to be only ambition to achieve some corporate religious agenda.

There was no Vision.  There was only Ambition.

And that stagnation, which ignores the heart or the spirit of things and life situations that matter to us locally, could have been addressed by mature efforts and solutions.

So it goes.

Doctor Richard V McCarron Jr. to receive Knight’s Commander of the Order of St. Gregory for his Career Marking Attrition and Move of Philly Catholic School System to the Lily White Burbs

I must say, "Cardinal" Chaput is reaching into his bag of tricks and or Box of Cracker Jacks for a prize to Honor the Retired Dr. McCarron whose “call to service” saw the transition from that of a diverse city wide Catholic school system to that of an elitist white GOP Republican Institution in the Suburbs.

Job well done Richard!

What next? Build the new proposed Cathedral in King of Prussia? What’s that you say? There are no plans to move the cathedral to a white neighborhood in Burbia? Well Philly must be the only Catholic Diocese in America without such proposals and architectural plans already in the can. Whatever.

Richard joins the ranks of infamous and fictional characters who have also achieved the rank and title of Knight Commander of the Order of St. Gregory like that of British entertainer Jimmy Savile and more close to home prohibition era thug and bootlegger Nucky Thompson on PBS’s Boardwalk Empire. lol

As the 1990s progressed, McCarron faced another formidable task in his mission to preserve Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

“The next biggest challenge was the heartache of having to close schools. There are so many close emotional ties to schools, especially in the Delaware Valley and it was a very painful time,” said McCarron.

Donna Crilley Farrell To Be Awarded “Cross of Honour” For Her Spin Doctor Services to Bevilacqua Rigali Chaput Regimes – Archdiocese of Philadelphia

Donna Crilley Farrell is to be rewarded for related services to the pope during ongoing and recent Child Abuse Scandals in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for her work in Public Relations and as AD spokesperson.

Pope Benedict XVI selected Farrell to receive the Pro Ecclesia et Pontiface cross …the highest ecclesiastical honor that can be bestowed upon (a) lay person in the Roman Catholic Church.

...scheduled to receive the papal award June 2 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia during 6:30 p.m. Mass celebrated by Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput who nominated (her) for the honor.

Pro Ecclesia et Pontiface

Farrell, who last Dec. 3 left the archdiocese to become manager of external affairs for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, worked in the archdiocesan communications office for nearly 14 years, the last seven and a half of which she served as director. …

About three months after Farrell was promoted to director of the archdiocesan communications department in 2005, Pope John Paul II died.

Cardinal Justin Rigali, who was then archbishop of Philadelphia, had been an English translator for the pontiff, so Farrell was pressed into duty despite being very sick with the flu.

“He did 40 network interviews between Friday night and early the next week,” said Farrell.

Five months later, in September 2005, Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham released the first of two clerical sexual abuse grand jury reports that accused 63 priests of sexually abusing children in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia over four decades. At the time, Farrell’s boss was former Marple resident Bishop Michael Burbidge, who now heads the Raleigh, N.C. diocese.

“I said to Bishop Burbidge, ‘So what do you have planned for my second year on the job?’” recalled Farrell.

Six years later, she and her staff had to handle press inquiries about a second Philadelphia grand jury report released by Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams that resulted in the arrest of a lay teacher and three priests for allegedly abusing children, and the suspension of more than 20 other priests.

One priest pleaded guilty, another priest and the lay teacher were convicted in a jury trial and a third priest is awaiting retrial after his first trial resulted in a hung jury. The 2011 grand jury report also resulted in the arrest and conviction of former secretary of clergy the Rev. Monsignor William Lynn for child endangerment for not turning a suspected pedophile priest over to civil authorities, making him the highest-ranking church official in the United States to be convicted in such a case.

“Several of the bishops said to me, they would say, ‘I hope you’re taking care of your own spiritual life,’”(*) noted Farrell. “There are always people who commit sins and make mistakes and do horrible things. I separate them from my faith.”

(*) Imagine being the only innocent in the Nest of Vipers at “222” and getting a medal from the pope too.

I really think the award was given when Chaput’s Denver people took over 222 and forced the old timers like Farrell out. Whatever.

Imagine Rigali giving 40 media interviews on one weekend. That was harder than Big Frank worked in the last twenty years of his life. Thank you Donna for being a life coach with Frank on that.

Exactly how many media interviews did Rigali give on the Child Abuse thing (off the record)?

Did I mention, she gets a medal from the pope?

A great honour.

Chaput’s Uber-Archdiocese Catering to Educational Need$$$ of Chinese Students in the New Philly “Rich Suburban" REPUBLICAN Catholic Church

Not Quite the Red Hat He Really Wants

I wrote about corrupt Chinese money overinflating  the Manhattan Real Estate Market recently.

I did not realize that the invasion of Wal-Mart Dollars were going to flood back, tsunami us to death in my life time.

The Philly Archdiocese Education Trust Fund (Goldman Sachs? Derivitive) Portfolio grows under the wise tutorage of Charles Chaput – Philly’s beloved “Chief Outtatown” and or $piritual Leader.

Our Chinese Slave Masters of Tomorrow are being sought out, housed and educated in the secluded out of media touch new Philly Catholic Rich Suburban Education System, as opposed to the old one they shut down in Catholic education in the ethnic unpleasing inner city over the past few decades.

The past few decades that btw coincided and saw no discipline or control or criminal prosecution of its clergy run a muck Philly Catholic Abuse Cottage Industry thing.

International students are paying a Chinese-based company almost $50,000 to help them secure admission to Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Bristol Township, officials said.

The company, 3W International, will use $5,200 from that fee to pay the diocese to house the students in a dormitory on the campus off Wistar Road, the officials said. 3W also will use money from the fee to pay the student’s tuition and other fees for 2013-14.

The diocese will receive about $8,600 per student to cover those expenses, said David Magee, who serves as director of educational  financial services for the archdiocese.

The rest of the fee paid to the company by the international students will cover other expenses including resident advisers, dormitory meals, tutors, uniforms...

CEC is one of three high schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia that are part of the partnership with 3W International.

The initiative will offer dormitory-style living to the international students in former convents that are being renovated over the summer.

Two Philadelphia high schools — Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti and Archbishop Ryan — also are participating in the international program, which was announced by diocese officials May 23.

About 100 international students, primarily from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, are expected to be enrolled through the program at one of the three schools for 2013-14, officials said.

The company expects to have close to 200 international students recruited to attend one of the three schools the following year.
