Bishop Omsted’s New Phoenix Arizona Fantasy Cathedral Downtown
What any ambitious RC cleric in the United States needs
is a new fantasy cathedral not unlike the hideous $200 concrete box cathedral
in Los Angeles (right) or the equally hideous $200 million dirigible hanger cathedral in Oakland
California (below).
Doing some research on Bishop Olmsted’s tacit support of
all things Joe Arpaio in Phoenix, especially Joe’s secular Culture of Death
with its unexplained, uninvestigated, mysterious deaths of minorities at
Maricopa County Jail, I ran into this article about the sudden critical need to
have more seating, like at a sporting event, in a new big improved sports
stadium, in the RC Cathedral in Phoenix.

Sts. Simon and Jude Cathedral, Phoenix Area
The present Cathedral of St. Simon and St. Jude on the
west side off the highway I-17 only has 1200 seats for important clerical events.
The old Basilica of St. Mary’s downtown, run by the Franciscans, only sits 850
bottoms at important sporting religious events.

St. Mary's Bascilia Phoenix Arizona
The need is at this stage of real estate negotiations to
enlarge St. Mary’s with an expansion of a rather plain, mediocre wood and
stucco structure that would not meld easily into any modern expansion or
construction.
I see them tearing it down,
citing “termites”; it is an ugly obsolete structure, after they wrestle the
Franciscans for the property rights, in the middle of the most expensive real
estate in Arizona, recession or no recession.
And some comments from the faithful in Phoenix:
mojo43Jun-23 @ 7:28 AM What a great place to properly represent the diocese today as it is led by the current bishop. St Mary's history includes forcing those who were of a darker skin color and who spoke primarily spanish into the basement for their masses rather than in the main church with the catholics of European descent. This bishop is well known for favoring whiter, more affluent churches over the poorer ones whose worshipers are from countries south of our border. Most of the money from collection plates stay with the affluent churches where it is needed less rather than with the poorer ones whose parishioners have the most need for help. …You're fricken right I'm disgruntled! My family was among the many who contributed to the development of that church only to be treated as lesser than the whites. They had no choice but to help found Immaculate Heart where they would be considered as worthy of God's Graces as those of European descent.
And the Bishop has shown time and time again that he is willing to disregard the needs of the poorer (brown skinned) churches over those of the affluent (white skinned) ones. How the diocese money is spent along with his disregard for priests who work with the poorest of the poor is proof. Have you ever talked with priests and parishioners from the poorer churches and catholic schools? Have you ever even visited them, helped contribute to their well being while in your ivory tower? I doubt it.
I have volunteered countless hours with the poorer of the faithful and with others have tried at great lengths to get help from the richer churches and the diocese only to be turned away. They'd rather spend their money fighting gay rights and issues important to their wealthy members than give much thought to the dire conditions of many of the poorer congregations and schools.

Jun-23 @ 8:56 AM Kind of sad to me. I went to Ss. Simon and Jude, class of 1986, and Brophy. I was there in 1987 when John Paul II came, that's where the big cross came from outside. Let's call a duck a duck. Ss. Simon and Jude, when I was growing up, was in the middle of middle-class-ville. Not so much anymore. Most of the old time parishioners are gone and replaced by mostly Spanish-Speaking people. The Church wants to move because there is no money at 27th and Maryland. If they go downtown, they'll have hotels, restaurants, etc. Instead of a 1/3 expansion at SS&J, or even a 1/4 expansion at St. Francis, they'd rather do a 1/2 expansion at St. Mary'?

Phoenix Corrupt Elite and Joe Arpaio’s Culture of Death Makes a Power Grab into Public Schools, Armed Seizure of Power, Like It or Not America
![]() |
Overlords Omsted and Arpaio - Phoenix / Maricopa
Once again, Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County (Phoenix)
Arizona, like Wayne LaPierre, does not mention his religion in his Wikipedia
bio. Why? On a secret mission for the pope? That or he does not want the local Methodists and or Mormons to know that a Pape is in charge as the one true local warlord in an international border state such as Arizona?
Appeals to Phoenix's Bishop Tommy Olmsted regarding Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s
secular Culture of Death at Maricopa County Jail fell on the deaf RC cleric’s
ears even after protests at Joe’s Church of the Ascension in exclusive rich
white gated armed Fountain Hills, Arizona last August.

Uber-Catholic, Tea Party fanatic Joe Arpaio's Armed
Posse / Vigilante / Militia is now up and running, roaming the streets of
Phoenix looking for Wayne LaPierre’s “Bad Guys”- i.e. the dark skinned ones.
An eighty year old Sheriff of Maricopa County (Phoenix)
has taken Wayne LaPierre’s advice and formed a vigilante committee of unvetted
armed yahoos to protect children in their schools.
As stated by Mother Jones’ reporter David Korn on MSNBC,
this vigilante “posse” which has no funds to vet its members and is by public
knowlwdge populated by men with felony convictions, some of which are sex
offences involving children.
What next with these lunatic roaming potential “rape
crews” in and around our public schools?
A football program – the Penn State, Notre Dame or Steubenville
working model ?
Or an extra RC auxialry bishop of two in Phoenix appointed by Joe
the Pope INC to handle the public safety of the children, fresh meat, in the
public schools of Maricopa County now subject to King Joe Arpaio's senile racist sexist pink underwear fantasy whims???

Wayne Thiebaud - Cupcake (poem) - Hide and Seek*
Hide and Seek
There is a pretty in you
I can measure when it’s out
You wrap it in a whisper
But it comes out as a shout.
There is no way to love it
Is gift-wrapped in a she
Pulsing up and down yourself
For worlds of eyes to see.
It bounds around your person
Always hidden in your smile.
And although I cannot touch it
I may eat it with a smile.

Augustus Saint-Gaudens – Goddess, Diana of the Tower (MSG), Diana of the Staircase (PMA)
A few views of the famous Saint-Gaudens statue
of Diana that was once the weathervane on the second Madison Square Garden,
(right off Madison Square NYC) 1890-1925, before finding a permanent home at
the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The original eighteen foot Diana by
sculptor Saint-Gaudens was made of bronze and thought to be out of proportion
when first put on the Second Madison Square Garden in 1891.
In 1892, it went to
the top of a building at the Columbia Exposition in 1892 in Chicago. Bottom
half of statue was lost in a fire in Chicago. Top Half of statue, whereabouts
unknown, and presumed lost to history.
The second Saint-Gaudens Diana as weathervane on
Madison Square Garden was of gilded sheet copper and thirteen feet high.
This Diana eventually founds its home as the centerpiece of the grand staircase main hall entry way of the
Philadelphia Museum of Art after demolition of the second Garden arena.

Washington National Cathedral to Allow Same Sex Marriage and Blessings Because It Is Legal in D.C. and Maryland - Render Unto Caesar...
The Mother Church of our English Speaking
Culture in America, Washington National Cathedral, is about to offer marriage
and blessings to same sex couples because it is now legal to do so in both the District of
Columbia and adjoining Maryland.
“Render unto Caesar the things that are
Caesar's and to G-d the things that are G-d’s."
Most Americans know the house of God, also called the Cathedral Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, as a place where sacred rites are carried out on behalf of the nation. It has been host to the funerals of numerous presidents and of inaugural prayer services for four presidents, including Barack Obama.
But it is also an active house of worship in the Episcopalian Church, said the Cathedral's dean, Gary Hall. The denomination has developed a blessing rite that mirrors current wedding ceremonies for heterosexual couples and allows each bishop to decide to allow same-sex marriages in their churches or not.
Bishop Mariann Budde decided to allow the rite, since same-sex marriage is legal in the District of Columbia and now in neighboring Maryland as well, Hall said.

Steubenville Ohio = GOP Family Values Country = Rep. Bill Johnson 6th Ohio = Tea Party Values = “Rape Crew” Values? = Anonymous?

Rep. Bill Johnson, 6th District Ohio
Anonymous posted a video about a
football player who has not been charged with rape in Steubenville Ohio because as his official apology states, he
was sorry for a rape he was not aware of, did not attend and only merely made some
naughty comments on twitter and posted a photo not appropriate to the present atmosphere
in Steubenville Ohio.
The apology was part of a lawsuit
against a blogger for writing about the August Rape in Steubenville, for
digging up lost or disregarded evidence and social media texting and videos.
Cody surely has the same values as his
millionaire dad who firmly supports the Ohio Family Values / Tea Party
Congressman Bill Johnson of the Ohio 6th District representing
Steubenville since 1910?
“I deeply regret my actions on the night of August 11, 2012. While I wasn’t at the home where the alleged assault took place, there is no doubt that I was wrong to post that picture from an earlier party and tweet those awful comments. Not a moment goes by that I don’t wish I would have never posted that picture or tweeted those comments. I want to sincerely apologize to the victim and her family for these actions. I also want to acknowledge the work of several bloggers, especially Ms. Goddard at Prinniefied.com, in their efforts to make sure the full truth about that terrible night eventually comes out. At no time did my family mean to stop anyone from expressing themselves online – we only wanted to correct what we believed were misstatements that appeared on Ms. Goddard’s blog. I am glad that we have resolved our differences with Ms. Goddard and that she and her contributors can continue their work.” – Cody Saltsman
