Donna Crilley Farrell To Be Awarded “Cross of Honour” For Her Spin Doctor Services to Bevilacqua Rigali Chaput Regimes – Archdiocese of Philadelphia

Donna Crilley Farrell is to be rewarded for related services to the pope during ongoing and recent Child Abuse Scandals in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for her work in Public Relations and as AD spokesperson.

Pope Benedict XVI selected Farrell to receive the Pro Ecclesia et Pontiface cross …the highest ecclesiastical honor that can be bestowed upon (a) lay person in the Roman Catholic Church.

...scheduled to receive the papal award June 2 at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia during 6:30 p.m. Mass celebrated by Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput who nominated (her) for the honor.

Pro Ecclesia et Pontiface

Farrell, who last Dec. 3 left the archdiocese to become manager of external affairs for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, worked in the archdiocesan communications office for nearly 14 years, the last seven and a half of which she served as director. …

About three months after Farrell was promoted to director of the archdiocesan communications department in 2005, Pope John Paul II died.

Cardinal Justin Rigali, who was then archbishop of Philadelphia, had been an English translator for the pontiff, so Farrell was pressed into duty despite being very sick with the flu.

“He did 40 network interviews between Friday night and early the next week,” said Farrell.

Five months later, in September 2005, Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham released the first of two clerical sexual abuse grand jury reports that accused 63 priests of sexually abusing children in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia over four decades. At the time, Farrell’s boss was former Marple resident Bishop Michael Burbidge, who now heads the Raleigh, N.C. diocese.

“I said to Bishop Burbidge, ‘So what do you have planned for my second year on the job?’” recalled Farrell.

Six years later, she and her staff had to handle press inquiries about a second Philadelphia grand jury report released by Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams that resulted in the arrest of a lay teacher and three priests for allegedly abusing children, and the suspension of more than 20 other priests.

One priest pleaded guilty, another priest and the lay teacher were convicted in a jury trial and a third priest is awaiting retrial after his first trial resulted in a hung jury. The 2011 grand jury report also resulted in the arrest and conviction of former secretary of clergy the Rev. Monsignor William Lynn for child endangerment for not turning a suspected pedophile priest over to civil authorities, making him the highest-ranking church official in the United States to be convicted in such a case.

“Several of the bishops said to me, they would say, ‘I hope you’re taking care of your own spiritual life,’”(*) noted Farrell. “There are always people who commit sins and make mistakes and do horrible things. I separate them from my faith.”

(*) Imagine being the only innocent in the Nest of Vipers at “222” and getting a medal from the pope too.

I really think the award was given when Chaput’s Denver people took over 222 and forced the old timers like Farrell out. Whatever.

Imagine Rigali giving 40 media interviews on one weekend. That was harder than Big Frank worked in the last twenty years of his life. Thank you Donna for being a life coach with Frank on that.

Exactly how many media interviews did Rigali give on the Child Abuse thing (off the record)?

Did I mention, she gets a medal from the pope?

A great honour.

Bishop McFadden of Harrisburg Drops Dead – His Legacy in Philadelphia Child Abuse Glory Hole Days Played Down in Eulogy – Liked Basketball – No Mention of Children

Bishop McFadden of Harrisburg dropped dead on May 2 at a Pennsylvania Bishop’s Convention / Conference.

They brought in the green temporary bishop of Allentown John Oliver Barres to give a flowery eulogy to a monster that appears to have been there when as personal secretary to Cardinal Krol, cases of child abuse in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia got filed away rather than be addressed.

Krol with his Polish friend in the Vatican that owed his papacy to king maker Krol would cover up for him same as for Marcial Maciel. What are friends for if not to help cover up corporate mismanagement and or downright evil?

“It was during McFadden's service as a secretary to Cardinal Krol that Krol is believed to have excused and enabled the sexual abuse of hundreds of children within the Philadelphia Archdiocese.” (Wikipedia)

I must say that officiating at his funeral was Archbishop Chaput who I think was wise not to deliver the eulogy and or did not want to touch the Krol-Belivaqua-Rigali child abuse regimes/era toxic waste site in the form of the corpse of Bishop McFadden.

Allentown Diocese Bishop John Barres today recalled Harrisburg Bishop Joseph P. McFadden's gentle nature and love of basketball as Barres delivered the homily at McFadden's funeral Mass…

…Joseph McFadden may have been a kind and gentle priest and bishop, but he always played to win,” said Barres…

And his way to win as a priest and bishop with a rich interior life and a vibrant missionary spirit was a nonstop full court press for the glory of God and the salvation of souls,”…

(Sniff. Sniff. Not a dry eye in the house.)

Bishop McFadden as monsignor preceded Monsignor Bill Lynn as pastor of St. Joseph’s “Rich Bastards” parish in Downingtown, Pa.

Bishop McFadden as auxiliary bishop of Philadelphia was also instrumental in the closing of the two best High Schools in the racially mixed city, Northeast Catholic and Cardinal Dougherty in Philadelphia owing to the changing minority demographics within the city limits. His vision of the burbs only for new RC high schools in Philly I also think belongs to McFadden as part of his legacy.

Thanks to “Dave” for the Allentown link.

RIP Bishop McFadden. (I don’t really mean it. Just a press statement of sorts on the topic of your funeral like the so many press releases you signed off on in your lifetime. lol)

Joe McFadden true legacy comes from District Attorney Seth Williams at the conclusion of the Monsignor Lynn trial:

"Many in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia hierarchy had dirty hands. They failed to realize that the church is its people."

Perversion (love?) Among the Ruins – Ascension RC Church – Harrowgate Philadelphia

Ascension RC Church - Harrowgate Philadelphia - Out of Business

One of the strangest footings along a pathway of historical research, looking for a historical geographical reference, yesterday, landed me back where I had written a piece about a dying decaying parish adjacent to the parish I grew up in, in Harrowgate Philly, of that of Ascension Church and Parish.

Trying to disseminate the closing story which apparently came very quickly and in a press release, so typical of Charles Chaput, like a thief in the night mentioned somewhere in the Gospels was an overlay story of BTW, the pastor of Ascension already on one admin leave and cleared by one of Charles Chaput’s Blue Ribbon Citizen’s Committees of Justice had to be put back on admin leave because the Blue Ribbon Commission missed something when they gave him a clean bill of health to be around children etc.

Citizen Robespierre Chaput offers no explanations, just a press release. "Off with Ascension's head!"

And since I was trying to disseminate two stories I missed the timeline which was that Pastor Michael Chapman had been re-relieved from his duties(?) among the ruins of a once great city upon a hill church and Parish in old white working class Philly and ten days later the Archdiocese padlocked the place with less than a week’s notice for the sole office worker to pack her box and a few other miserable boxes of church records and become unemployed after 25 years of service etc.

Want a mass? God is that way. Go 1.7 miles that way or another mile or so that way.

I should say that the racism in Philly has always been there. The neighborhood where I grew up was quite white, catholic and lower working class Irish.  That the new mix of 50% Hispanic and Black probably changes nothing in terms of the human condition there.  Those conditions always were poor to none for the inhabitants.

That I could blame the Hunky Cardinal Krol for ignoring race relations in favor of his politics to become the first Polish pope.  I could also blame the traditionally bigoted Italians, the Guinea Cardinals “Small Tony” Belivacqua or Justin “Big Frank” Rigali as his Swiss Vatican Guard male friends used to refer to him when he was their chaplain, but I won’t blame anybody.  It is what it is.

It is the modern disease of the American middle class that once you manage to blow, with sex or drugs or frat house connections, a foot over the threshold of the front office, get your toe into that front office cocoon, the back office, the little people, the rest of humanity can just go to hell as you party and count your crony Bonuses etc.  Just the same way Jesus played the establishment game in his day. Right?

Whatever.

Anyway, I do not think that many people read my piece about Ascension in which I actually quoted Pastor Mike – geezus mary and joseph.

The Rev. Michael Chapman, 56, was originally placed on administrative leave following allegations of sexual abuse of minors last spring . Chapman, who is pastor of Ascension of Our Lord Parish in Philadelphia, was placed on leave in March 2011 for an alleged violation of archdiocese standards of ministerial behavior and boundaries.

After an investigation, Archbishop Charles Chaput found Chapman suitable for ministry in May 2012. But before Chapman's return, the Archdiocese received new allegations of sexual abuse of minors against Father Chapman in May. The alleged abuse reportedly occurred approximately 30 years ago. The Archdiocese immediately reported the new allegations to law enforcement and delayed Father Chapman's return to the parish.

(Sept 26) Archbishop Charles Chaput has approved plans to close the Ascension of Our Lord Parish in Philadelphia's Harrowgate section, the Archdiocese announced today.
Parishioners can now go to either Holy Innocents Church, about 1.7 miles away, Visitation, B.V.M. Parish, less than a mile away, the Archdiocese said in a statement.
It said the church will not be maintained as a worship site since the 98-year-old building requires at least $3 million in physical improvements.
The closure, effective Oct. 1, is the latest in a series by the Archdiocese as it deals with declining enrollments and rising maintenance costs for aging church buildings.

In the Loop with Archbishops Dolan, Chaput and Ross Douthat of the New York Times (wink, nod)

Archbishop Charles Chaput (left) evangelizing the faith.

The best of the best New York’s Cardinal Timothy Dolan has quoted the best of the best wordsmith Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia declaring Philly to now be “Mission Territory” after decades of crime and coverup under the Cardinals Krol, Bevilacqua and Rigali crime regimes.

Timmy, in typical alpha male mode for the USCCB has volunteered the Archdiocese of New York as “Mission Territory” as well and is likely petitioning the Congress at this very moment for tens of thousands guest worker visas for Catholic missionaries from South America, Africa and South Asia to swarm over North America and save it and or offer it up to the oligarchs on a silver platter for a good price or place at the table in the new world order of things.

There was a time when Rome used to send the best of the best of Europe to missionary territories in the New World and up against the dominant Protestant Christian Culture of the young United States.

What have you done to my (Philly) church?

Bishop (Saint) John Neumann, a Sudetenland German, as fourth bishop of Philadelphia missionary territory laid the foundation vision that built the largest, superior Catholic education system in the United States, perhaps the world, that stood for almost a hundred years until the Krol, Bevilacqua, Rigali regimes started to strip the wealth of the Philly church, shipping cash over to Solidarity in Poland for General Wojtyla to oppose the Russkies etc. along side CIA allies and Ronald Reagan (bow your head).

These problems kill a Christian love of poverty and zeal. They choke off a real life of faith. They create the shadows that hide institutional and personal sins. And they encourage a paralysis that can burrow itself into every heart and every layer of the Church, right down to individual Catholics in the pews. The result is that Philadelphia, like so much of the Church in the rest of our country, is now really mission territory–again; for the second time...
First, religious freedom is a cornerstone of the American experience. This is so obvious that once upon a time, nobody needed to say it. But times have changed. So it’s worth recalling that Madison, Adams, Washington, Hamilton, Franklin, Jefferson–in fact, nearly all the American founders–saw religious faith as vital to the life of a free people. Liberty and happiness grow organically out of virtue. And virtue needs grounding in religious faith...
We’re becoming a nation where, as Ross Douthat describes it, “a growing number [of us] are inventing [our] own versions of what Christianity means, abandoning the nuances of traditional theology in favor of religions that stroke [our] egos and indulge, or even celebrate, [our] own worst impulses.” And it’s happening at a time when the Church is compromised by her own leaders and people from within, and pushed to the margins or attacked by critics without...

To the People of God in Philadelphia 2012 - Child Abuse Trials

St. Boniface, Norris Square, Philadelphia

To the People of God in Philadelphia,

7. "And to the angel of the People of God in Philadelphia write:

'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":

8 "I know your works.

See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

9 Indeed I will make those of the skyscraper of Shame (222), who say they are True and are not, but lie -

indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

11 Behold, I am coming quickly!

Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.

12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more.

And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to all the Peoples of God."

(Revelation 3:7-13)

“Joe the Pope” and his Dysfunctional Crime Family aka The Bishops

Since I am following a number of events in the Catholic Dysfunctional Church of late, here is a mixed bag of thoughts, facts, observations and opinion.

What strikes me is the passivity of the Laity to these bishop overseers.  That in the Kansas City case, this Father Ratigan was allowed to run around and still be exposed to children and manage to snap nude (semi-nude actually Bill Donohue, that doesn’t count. Right?) pictures of little girls apparently right under the noses of their parents.

There is of course one parental law suit where all the sordid details paint the picture of a totally heartless, willfully blind Bishop Finn, once on a fast track to a red hat.

I say heartless, meaning he doesn’t have a heart.  He went into the seminary at age 12 and has no social skills.  A female principal at St. Patrick’s school hand delivered her letter of warning (CYA letter) to the chancellery one full year before the civil authorities had to step in to protect these children from Father Ratigan.  That a female principal’s alarm did not apparently register anything in Finn’s eunuch brain.  Whatever.

They are stonewalling everybody.  They know that the precedent of a RC bishop resigning with a criminal indictment would encourage other District Attorneys to go after this new American ENEMY WITHIN, the Roman Catholic Church crime family hierarchy - the Bishops.

Finn stays. He is a Bishop.  He is a Made Man.

Looking at the National Catholic Reporter online newspaper, they have one article where Cardinal Pell looks down his nose at this new C- (C minus) high school Latin hack translation of the Mass - Missal and called it children’s literature, meaning it has big words in it and that the Laity should look them up in some theology dictionary. Snide condescending bastard.

English is the language of the 21st Century Global Culture. This third rate translation builds more walls against the rest of the Christian world and confuses dogma to the man and woman in the pews still bothering to attend the Catholic faith.

Pell is one to talk about children’s literature and children.  Stood by his pedophile priest house-mate back in the 1990s.  Mates forever and all that over and above the paid for white washed allegations of his youthful days as a seminarian/counselor in a summer boy’s camp.

Pell.  Another Made Man in the RC crime empire. Whatever.

There is another article in the NCR about a bunch of bishops in Australia gathering to reconcile, to get with the party line, why they had to whack Bishop Bill Morris of Toowoomba Diocese.

He didn’t like wearing a collar in tropical heat and his one real sin against the crime brotherhood of bishops was that he admitted and even commented on a survey of his flock that stated that they did not disapprove of the concept of Women Ordination.  They had to bring in a Yank hit man to whack Morris, Bishop Charles Chaput of Denver.

Charles is famous for signing off on the throwing of two little girls out of  Bill Breslin’s RC Sacred Heart of Jesus school in Boulder Colorado because their mothers were lesbians.  The school could not teach standard hate doctrine to the girls.  They might notice or question the discrepancy between their reality, reality in general actually, and RC doctrine.

I, rather cynically, feel that if the two children in question had been boys and theirs Dads had been a gay couple, this would have never made it to the national news.  That we all know that the reason it was an issue is because of the vagina thing, the unmentionable thing.

RC priests don’t know what "it" is or how to deal with "it".

Dysfunctional towards half the human race and they sit in their robes and tell us Jesus said this and Jesus meant that.  Fairy tales from fairies?

There was the weirdest statement I ever heard.  It was from Bishop, now Archbishop Chaput, a reward for whacking Bishop Morris no doubt and trashing a lesbian couple too.  At his installation in the fortress cathedral in Philadelphia - “Of course, my appointment to Philadelphia is an arranged marriage, and the Holy Father is the matchmaker….”.

Chaput has been brought in to keep the lid of the cauldron on tight, regarding the mess of Cardinal Justin “Big Frank” Rigali who was the crime boss of crime bosses in his day, the way he let children be buggered in the St. Louis, Missouri and the Philly Archdiocese, which is where I was raised and received 12 years of Catholic education.

This is why I am so upset.  That I somehow was once associated with this crime family.  I now know what it is like to be Italian American and being despised because of the “Mafia”.  I was once a Catholic but don’t link me to that pedophile loving protecting church.

This is not the Catholic Church of my youth, my parents, grandparents.

Anyway, Chaput in his opening statement in the Cathedral made reference to his forced and or arranged marriage ordered by the Don of Dons, Joe the Pope, being the matchmaker.  Yuk!

In my point of view, arranged marriages are such a primitive form of torture and the basis of spousal abuse on a planetary scale.  That the human race on a planetary scale has centuries to go before men and women are equal and also equal to the true message of Jesus.

What ever happened to 1 Timothy 3:2 where a bishop is supposed to be married to a real woman?  This allegorical married to the church bullshit is what all this celibate but not chaste buggery is all about.

Anyway, we all know where Archbishop Chaput stands on buggery.

He and hundreds of priests gave Monsignor Lynn of child endangerment indictment fame, they gave him a standing ovation for a job well done, a few weeks back at a private secret dinner.

While we know that Bill Lynn will never become a Made Man in Joe the Pope’s crime family, he is no doubt a honorary “made man”.

Look at all the other made men associated with pedophile protection-enabling over the years nurtured by the Philly Cardinals Bevilacqua and Rigali past regimes – Bishop Cullen of Allentown Pennsylvania, Bishop Cistone of Saginaw Michigan and let’s not forget Archbishop Naumann of Kansas City Kansas who is now sympathetic to Bishop Finn’s plight in Kansas City, Missouri.

Need a favor, move a priest around.  Throw a dart onto the map.

And over all this, we have Bill Donohue, over at the Catholic League, the guardian angel of the pope’s crime family in America.

Bill serves in a catholic Judenrat like function, approved of by two popes or he would not keep his job, no doubt paid for with Vatican cash to oversee the persecuted Catholic family/community in the hostile Protestant United States. Persecuted?  In heaven's name - Why?

And let’s not forget Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, head of the USCCB, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops:
“ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall, ninety-nine bottles of…”

Great dysfunctional crime family papa Joe the Pope.  You must be very proud.

Have a nice day.
