Pennsylvania – Alabama North – In God we trust and Darwin is the Devil - State Legislation – Disruptive Thinking of the Religious Right

Stephen Bloom’s proposed Pennsylvania Trashing of Core Curriculum teaching in favor of Tea Party White Trash Science and Bible based math, 2+2=286 according to la goud book stuff, is co-sponsored by Carpetbagger Abu Ghraib Torture Expert Rep. Rick "Year of the Bible" Saccone, Tea Party Guido, to help students realize the flaws in modern science and the glories of the one true religion in the bargain etc.

How the world is seeing backward knuckle dragging Pennsylvania and its religious education rackets on the taxpayers' dime:

As in other states, the bill in Pennsylvania asserts that the teaching of scientific subjects, including evolution, climate change and human cloning can “cause controversy.” If passed, the bill would require school districts and administrators to “promote an environment” that would “encourage” students to “develop critical thinking skills and respond appropriately and respectfully to differences of opinion on controversial issues.” The districts and administrators would have to assist teachers to “help students understand, analyze, critique and review” the “strengths and weaknesses” of “scientific theories” being taught.

Corbin Brosneck’s theory of the "Disruptive Thinking" no Critical Thinking of the Religious Right. Disruptive Thinking sounds more like a disease that the Pharmas could claim to cure with a pill. Storm Trooper passive tactics by any other means to achieve the Tea Party's God's kingdom on earth?

Some other Bloom Religious Exemptions (Religious Privilege) from the old 3Rs Penna. Teaching Core Curriculum:

Rep. Rick Saccone, Pennsylvania Church Merged with State Legislator and Iraq War Torture Expert

can guess why some Politicians want and need a National Day of Fast to Atone for their own sins, but please do not drag me into your personal hell foxhole comrade.

Public officials, media outlets and members of the public who use the words torture and coercion interchangeably are making a huge mistake - one that could threaten our safety and security.

Formerly top-secret documents declassified recently by the Obama administration describe in detail 10 interrogation techniques, including the now-infamous water-boarding. This has led to the unfortunate branding of all coercive techniques as torture.
...

We cannot apply absolutes to these ambiguous scenarios. We need reasonable guidelines that allow discretion for those risking their lives to gather the information needed to protect us.

And finally: Shall we address water-boarding? It is critical to remember that contrary to the portrayal in some media, enhanced techniques were used principally on hardened terrorists who refused to cooperate through rapport building and other noncoercive methods.

For example, intelligence officials believed Abu Zubaydah, a hardcore terrorist and planner of the 9/11 attacks, retained valuable insight into the inner workings of al-Qaida at the highest levels. He had successfully resisted all other methods of interrogation. However, it is almost impossible to train to resist water-boarding. Ultimately, he lasted 32 seconds. Given this context, I am confident most Americans would not object to using that technique.

U.S. policy must authorize the use of certain interrogation methods that fall below the threshold of torture. We cannot allow our enemies to draw a moral equivalence between compelling a prisoner to kneel for 10 minutes and chopping off his fingers one by one. Our government must insist that making a terrorist uncomfortable should not be confused, or in any way equated, with torture.

Richard Saccone, a retired counterintelligence agent, teaches international relations and political science at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., and is the author of "The Unseen War in Iraq: Insurgents in the Shadows."

Customer Book Review:
Counterintelligence for the layperson. Richard Saccone's up close and personal vantage point in Iraq, especially Abu Ghraib gives the outsider a unique perspective that is missing from liberal and mass media reports of the Iraq war's counterintelligence challenges. It is a compendium of scenarios that reveals the depths of what we face in Iraq from Titan defense contractors' hiring of local interpreters to the undeniably soul-ess manner in which the enemy tortures and kills innocents in their quest for an untenable goal. Particularly compelling are his descriptions of the Abu G prison and how insufficiently trained and overworked government and military guards/Military Intelligence sometimes miss important clues on smuggling and intelligence gathering.

Mr. Saccone parts the veil on what happens inside Abu G. Reports from biased Red Cross evaluators to the rabid liberal international and U.S. media on how prisoner treatment are truly one-sided and do not paint an accurate picture of how the U.S. is the preferred administrator to the inmates. Although American leadership did allow Abu G excesses in the scandal, the prisoners are far more fearful of the harsh treatment and living conditions under Iraqi hands.

Rick Saconne’s Smorgasbord of Corruption Exception Bills (Wink, Nod) for Pennsylvania State Legislators Among other things Religious

Pennsylvania Flag - A State in Great Distress

Got to offer incentives for a basically a part time job and attract the right kind of loser Lifers like Tea Party Hack Rick Saccone chasing those Koch bucks by the ton, under the cover of holier than thou, "fasting", ashes covered and sack cloth wearing Pennsylvania state legislators. LOL

Just a small sampling of Rick “In Koch We Trust” Saccone’s sponsored Pennsylvania Assembly Smorgasbord of Bills and Resolution makes one wonder why don’t I move to Pennsylvania, pretend to be a sunshine Tea Party Patriot and cash in all the corruption available with first priority to GOP Tea ParteeRRs in the Pennsylvania Assembly. Allegiance to the Koch Brothers God of Money Printed on All American Money to be demanded of all children in Pennsylvania schools.

Sieg Heil -  holy name of Koch and Tea Party!

Rick Saccone (R-What else?) is ready to push forward legislation requiring all public schools in his state to display the words “In God We Trust” somewhere, in order to make non-religious students feel more awkward and unwelcome.
Saccone (which I think is Italian for a big bag or something—of what, I will let you decide), is no stranger to evangelizing from his congressional seat, which he has previously used to promote such important issues as declaring 2012 “The Year of The Bible” and trying to make Abraham Lincoln’s birthday be celebrated as a National Fast Day in which we all refuse to eat because Jesus is really great or something. Now he’s on this trip, because apparently he doesn’t have anything more important to do with his time.

Atheist David Koch Funds Builds Daycare Center for MIT Elites While His Tea Party Shutdown Screws all the ‘Po Folks Kids Out Of Government Paid Daycare

David H. Koch, a billionaire philanthropist and MIT graduate known as much for his conservative activism as for his generosity, had attended dozens of these meetings, but had never been so moved. “I got a tear in my eye,” he said.
Koch, who had already given the Massachusetts Institute of Technology about $150 million for research and faculty positions, decided to spend $20 million more on day care.
On Friday, the David H. Koch Childcare Center will be dedicated, in a celebration that highlights a major and ongoing shift in universities’ thinking about recruiting and retaining people who do world-class research. The best professors, scientists, and researchers are not just minds, universities have increasingly acknowledged; they have families, too.
The new center will serve 126 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It nearly doubles MIT’s day-care slots on campus.

Nothing like working the white elites at MIT to death at a different level than in all his coal mines.  Nothing like separating mothers from their kids for 18 hours a day? etc. while mom works on new Technology to make David Koch richer.

Hell, Mike Bloomberg has already given over a billion to his alma mater Johns Hopkins. Koch for being richer than Bloomberg is one cheap son of a bitch when it comes to his alma mater MIT etc. lol

Catholic Justice Scalia Sees Satan – In the Mirror?

The interview was conducted on September 26, the 27th anniversary of Scalia's swearing-in as a justice on the high court. He is one of a record six Catholic justices on the Supreme Court.

After Scalia and Senior discussed heaven and hell (he believes in them; she doesn't), the justice said in a stage whisper, "I even believe in the devil."

"You do?" Senior replied.

"Of course! Yeah, he’s a real person. Hey, come on, that’s standard Catholic doctrine! Every Catholic believes that," Scalia said.

Senior asked Scalia if he's seen evidence of Satan's work recently.

"You know, it is curious," Scalia answered. "In the Gospels, the devil is doing all sorts of things. He’s making pigs run off cliffs, he’s possessing people and whatnot. And that doesn’t happen very much anymore. ... It’s because he’s smart."

Scalia said the Devil has gotten "wilier" and convinced people that he and God don't exist. The justice added that he doesn't think that atheists are Satan's minions, but that disbelief in God "certainly favors the devil's desires."

Senior asked if it's "frightening" to believe in the devil, which seemed to annoy Scalia.

Planet’s Middle Class of New Globol Culture Cashing Out Their Chips on Casino Stock Markets Worldwide and Hoarding Cash

The same kind of fear so rampant in the heartland of America with Doomsday Preppers, the planet’s middle class is cashing out of the rigged casino games of stock markets and their phony brand of capitalism.

"My brokers said they were really safe, but they weren't," says Stonecipher, 59, a substitute school teacher.

Americans sold the most in the five years after the crisis—$521 billion, or 9 percent of their mutual fund holdings, according to Lipper. But investors in other countries sold a larger share of their holdings: Germans dumped 13 percent; Italians and French, more than 16 percent each.

The French are "not very oriented to risk," says Cyril Blesson, an economist at Pair Conseil, an investment consultancy in Paris. "Now, it's even worse."

It's gotten worse in China, Russia and the U.K., too.

Fu Lili, 31, a psychologist in Fu Xin, a city in northeastern China, says she made 20,000 yuan ($3,267) buying and selling stocks before the crisis, more than 10 times her monthly salary then. But she won't touch them now, because she's too scared.

In Moscow, Yuri Shcherbanin, 32, a manager for an oil company, says the crash proved stocks were dangerous and he should content himself with money in the bank.

If the system keeps cheating the rubes, guess what? The rubes stay away from the rigged game.

Texas Wisdom of Senator Ted Cruz - Words of Praise for Texan Rubes that Elected Him

Cheers to Texas - Founder of the Current Chaos in Washington DC.

When Texas voters showed up at the polls on Election Day 2012, they made an important choice. Slightly more than fifty-six percent of those participating selected Ted Cruz as the man they wanted to represent their state as their United States Senator.

But how many Texans who pulled the lever for Cruz believed that what they were really doing was choosing the leader of a small band of elected officials seeking to destroy the United States government from within rather than electing someone who would be dedicated to looking out for the interests of his state in the upper chamber of Congress?

If it was an effective senator Texas was looking for, they clearly chose very poorly—something Texans have, apparently, now figured out.

Rep. Enyart to Tea Party "If you are a patriot behind that American flag pin, have the guts to show it..,"

The above quote by Rep. Bill Enyart (D Ill.) in response to Piecemeal GOP bills to fund this or fund that and screw all the little people who work for the government who live from paycheck to paycheck like most other Americans, but not the country club elites of the GOP / TeaParty.

"The only thing that bill does is give the politicians who sponsored it and who vote for it a claim while they wrap themselves in the flag to say they support the troops," Enyart said, pointing out that the underlying bill actually contained cuts to key veterans programs. "It's as phony as putting a flag pin on your lapel and claiming that makes you a patriot."
Enyart also pointed out that hundred of thousands of other federal employees around the nation were currently furloughed. Like the military personnel at the heart of the GOP's mini-spending bill, they couldn't afford to miss a paycheck, he said. Enyart then called on his colleagues to vote on a bill that would "put the government back to work."

Rep. Enyart in a 400-1 vote was the only nay on another piecemeal bullshit band-aid bill to pay contractors to say mass for the Catholics on Sunday.

The New York Times in typical Sychophantic fashion with Boutique Journalists THOM SHANKER and JONATHAN WEISMAN made it sound like real chaplains in active duty uniform were being forbidden to practice their faiths.  Bullshit NYT!

The House also voted, 400 to 1, on a resolution saying military chaplains should be able to conduct religious services, despite the shutdown. Republicans accused the Obama administration of stifling religious freedom.

Representative Adam Smith of Washington, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services, said Republicans had concocted an issue that did not exist.
The lone “no” vote belonged to Representative Bill Enyart, Democrat of Illinois.

Baptist and Jew Play the Catholic Card In Government Shutdown

Apparently there are not a lot of Catholic Priests in uniform in the U.S. military as chaplains these days and like so much else in the downsized discounted globol culture, the use of catholic services on Sundays is outsourced to contracted people (pay as you go)(Pay as you pray?)

Well they can’t get into base if they are not authorized and if they are not paid during the Tea Party Shutdown of the Government, there are no visitor’s badges at the camp gate. Volunteers in times of global terrorism need not try to wander around the base using religion as an excuse Osama (wink, nod). Tough titty. End of story.

But band-aid Tea Party-ers Cantor and Cruz are oh so concerned about religious first amendment rights after they deprive the whole of the country the whole of their government.  Etc.

Anarchists! Putzes!

Knuckledragger Governor Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania Spewing His Immature Mishapened Adolescent Views on Sex – No Wonder Jerry Sandusky Got Away with so much Buggering

Believe Me - I Don't Have a Clue

Governor Tom Corbett gets all offended when you mention Jerry Sandusky and his kid glove treatment by then Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett to Jock Jerry Sandusky and his private sex fetishes.

His babbling on a radio talk show about same sex marriage and incest between a brother and a sister just proves that most Republican politicians from the burbs don’t know jack shit about mature adult sex or mature adult sex situations.

That most Republicans lack a decent Sex Education class in their eternally trapped in adolescent locker room Jockstrap Sexual Mythologies and are not the adult leaders we need in responsible places of public trust.

Corbett convened a grand jury in 2009 to investigate longstanding allegations of child sexual abuse by former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.[10] The grand jury uncovered evidence of criminal misconduct, and a 40-count indictment against Sandusky was issued in 2011, ultimately leading to Sandusky's criminal conviction in 2012. Corbett has been criticized for the three year time span between the grand jury investigation and Sandusky's indictment, and for his gubernatorial staff approving a $3 million grant to Sandusky's Second Mile charity for children, which, according to the grand jury findings, served as a repository for potential sex-abuse victims.[11] Former FBI Director Louis Freeh's report on the Penn State scandal did not fault Corbett's handling of the Sandusky case.[12]

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R) likened gay marriage to incest between siblings Friday during an appearance on a morning news show in Harrisburg.

The remark went viral and Democrats running to challenge Corbett in 2014 criticized the governor.

The governor was speaking about same-sex marriage on WHP-TV when one of the anchors asked about a statement administration lawyers had made in a court filing, comparing the marriage of gay couples to the marriage of children because neither can legally marry in the state.

“It was an inappropriate analogy, you know,” Corbett said, according to the Associated Press. “I think a much better analogy would have been brother and sister, don’t you?”

Senator Ted Cruz About to Do a Sarah Palin – Shopping Around for Right Wing Think Tank Lobby To Hire Him

Snake Oil Heritage Cider Foundation Think Tank / Lobby

Now that he has become the most hated man in America right behind Rush Limbaugh, Senator Ted Cruz is rumored to about to do a Sarah Palin, quit his day job.

Shopping Around for a Think Tank – an ideal Foundation to Hire Him?

Rumor has it that the newly arrived from Australia (Rupert Murdoch’s homeland - wink, nod) Snake Oil Foundation is looking for a young aggressive no morals politician to head its new think tank lobby on “K” Street in Washington DC.

Sarah Palin only lasted two years into her governorship of a state with 300,000 citazins, just before she had to take her final governor’s exam. That and Fox News needed an overpaid Weather Girl on the “news”.

Ted Cruz seeing how good his dad is doing on the Jim Crow Chikkken ala King lecture circuit figures it is time to cash in on his newly won hard fought for fame.

Rumor has it that he is looking for a promotion to head a right wing think tank lobby $2,000,000 minimum salary and bonuses to shill for the right wing cause and launder literally tons of PAC money to any asshole, any immature teenage mentality jock type (white only) on the planet that they can put them on every Republican Primary Ballot in the country.

Pretty good for a man who can’t even prove his citizenship or if his parents were legally married at the time of his birth in Canada.

Son of a an illegal immigrant that only just became a citizen in 2005 after living on Uncle Sugar’s tit for 50 years.

Ain’t America great Rafael Edwardo “Teddy” Cruz Junior?

Boehner I need another Shirley Temple - Yes Sir Senator Cruz!

Recipe – Vegan Philly-Style Scrapple

Vegan Philly-Style Scrapple

I saw a photo of some Vegan Scrapple the other day and thought that it would not meet the mark with me.

But quite frankly I can longer eat a lot of meat or meat by-products because of health reasons.  Organ meat from inside the animal is supposed to be high in cholesterol.

So rather than be disappointed by yet another too expensive “Vegetarian” meat substitute that tastes like Play-Doh (figuratively speaking), I decided to make my own Vegan Philly-Style Scrapple.

And the Philly kind has always been the Pennsylvania Dutch version. The Pennsylvania “Dutch” were of course “Deutsche” (a corruption of the pronunciation over the years) who came over at William Penn’s invitation almost as soon as he got here in the early 1680s.

A lot of the present Scrapple products do not measure up in my memory to taste like they did when I was a kid. Of course we are talking decades but the real flavor I miss most is the hot pepper flavor of fresh ground black pepper which the modern machine made stuff seems to lack, perhaps lost in the shelf life marketing thing.

Scrapple in its inception was a product to use all the extra body parts of the pig that might not be used otherwise directly. The primary part of scrapple has been basically ground up pig’s liver and mixed into a basic corn meal mush or polenta molded food product. This chilled and sliced and fried on a hot iron skillet without a lot of fat to facilitate cooking. A lot of that fat in scrapple was already in the product by grinding up flesh and pig fat along with the liver.  As such, a slice of scrapple on a preheated iron skillet has never needed additional fat in the frying pan when cooking at a low heat.  The product should be self-lubricated in the frying pan.

I use some Canola oil in the recipe below to lubricate the molded polenta product in the frying pan and cooked on a low flame once a higher pre-heated temperature has been achieved.

I for the sake of looking for a similar texture to scrapple decided on mixing the corn meal with Irish oats. I do not use the American style oats of any kind. I wanted an original European style oats for taste and texture, far superior to any American big corp. processed oats.

I do not know how to describe the kind of Irish oats (steel cut, quick, whole, old-fashioned etc.) I use in comparison to American style recipes. So for the sake of this recipe I mention a specific product and its cooking time, and I am certain you may have your own favorite pure food oats product. The product is Flahavan’s Irish Oats and this particular box is available in American stores. They cook in three minutes.

The other product I use is Indian Head Stone Ground Corn Meal for the polenta part of the recipe.

The recipe has two pots on the stove at one time. Per careful and take your time. Start with the Corn Mean cooking as it takes about 20 minutes and the Oatmeal cooking only takes three minutes.

The two grain mixtures will be blended together when the corn meal is done. Canola oil goes into corn meal cooking with the boiling water mentioned below. Natural soy sauce goes into oatmeal just before blending with cornmeal. The soy sauce is both a seasoning element and for a natural traditional scrapple color. All dry seasoning and dry herbs go in last.

Start with assembly of seasonings and dry herbs.

1 tsp. Marjoram
1 tsp. Thyme
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. ground Sage
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
Dash of ground Allspice

Set herb mixture aside.

Start cooking the corn meal

1 cup cold water
1 cup Corn Meal

Mix in pot.

Add 2 cups boiling water from tea kettle
Add 1-1/2 tbs. Canola Oil

Cook, stirring frequently, according to package instructions. Approximately 20 minutes.

Meanwhile combine 3/4 cup Irish Oats with 1-1/2 cups cold water. Cook according to package instructions. Mixture has less water than recommended but you want an oatmeal mixture thick with less water in terms of combining with cooked corn meal and molding. Approximately 3 minutes. Set aside. Cover to retain heat.

Finish corn meal cooking.

Add 2 tbs. Soy Sauce and mix into oatmeal mixture.

Combine cooked Oatmeal and Polenta mixture in pot.

Add seasonings and herbs. Mix. Pour into greased loaf pan. Let sit until completely cool. 1-2 hours.

Cover. Put in refrigerator overnight or 8-12 hours. Keep refrigerated until consumed.

Take out of frig. Unmold.

Cut into thin slices or desired thickness. Cook in preheated iron skillet or flat iron griddle on low to medium heat depending on how close you want to monitor cooking. Cooking time approximately 10 minutes on each side.

Serve with ketchup, mustard, honey, maple syrup or whatever you desire. Enjoy.

Yum.
