Fickle Hand And Arm of Political Fate - Who Does The Mob Love Now?

The media lies now like when they lied back when Nero was Emperor and ruled the known western world. The media jacked up some of the "the mob hates Nero" lines to justify the regime change of Nero to a non-Caesar bloodline to rule Rome. A change to merit and or a few generals killing each other off for a year or two until there was no generals left except Vespasian.

"Long Live Vespasian, our great and glorious Emperor." read the media BS of the day left on graffiti BS left on 2,000 year old walls that survived until today. Too cheap to paint a wall in the poor part of town?

Nero was an okay emperor. But no great push or ambition. Took his job for granted and the people too.

His uncle/cousin/adopted dad (incest even back then in the Emperor's palaces) the emperor Claudius had a bad day with the Jews on several different days and he threw them out of the city of Rome. Meaning outside the walls of the city. Big thick walls of the city back then. The Jewish ghetto was born outside the walls of Rome and exists to this day and the Jewish section of Rome absorbed into the city and bigger walls that surrounded and ever growing and bigger city full of IMMIGRANTS etc.

Well one day, Nero wants a bigger palace, so he started eminent domain to tear down houses in the middle of Rome near his palace and the Forum to make a bigger palace, bigger than the standard 50,000 sq. foot mafia like McMansion of today's American standards.

Amidst the rubble of the urban renewal to build a bigger Nero Palace, Mrs. O'Leary's cow kicked over a lantern in the Imperial stables and Rome catches fire and burns down. Yes Mrs. O'Leary's cow is a breed known to be clumsy and kicking over lanterns down through the ages mainly because they don't like giving milk in the dark.

So now, not a few Romans lost their houses to eminent domain for a new palace but something like 1/2 the city got burned out and they were homeless.

The straight line thinking goes from Nero and eminent domain go to big fire and homelessness and the mob turned on Nero.

Nero looked around for a scapegoat and looking at the Jews outside the firewall of the city walls living in intact housing and he blames the Jews. And the race track stadium starts to fill up with Jews taken forcibly from their homes.

Somewhere along the timeline, the Jews got turned into "Christians" even though in terms of a timeline and energy there only might have been a dozen Christians in amongst the hundreds and or thousands of Jews they were killing and burning in the Circus Maximus, (Vespasian had not yet built the Colosseum).

But that is a media problem and or thing - accuracy and or accuracy in history.

They run out of Jews and then they go after Nero. Bye bye Nero. Of course it took another four years for the mob and the Senate and the Army to decide that Nero hanging around the palace in his bath robe all day was not much of a leader especially with the slow pace of rebuilding Rome after the fire. It is much harder than you think to build a wall?

Since history tells us that Christians were being burned in the Circus Maximus and not the Jews, there is no history timeline thing about the Jews in Rome who could get out - got out. And they went to all the major ports of the Mediterranean including Judea where Jerusalem is. And about 66 C.E. Judea and the whole area exploded into rebellion and Nero had to send an army there to put the rebellion down. The fact that Nero was an indirect cause of the Jewish Rebellion because of his persecution of the "Christians" in Rome is often overlooked. Far fetched and revisionist history no doubt. 

Which brings us to post-Nero history once he is dead, had to kill himself etc. All over the empire it was no longer M.R.G.A (Make Rome Great Again). Even in a small backwater town of Londinium in Britain started tearing down statues of Nero. Which because of science and metal analysis and economic condition of the settlement, there probably was only one big statue in London two thousand years ago. 

So what is left of any traces of Nero in London after the mob turned on him was found in an archaeological dig in the city or the business district of present day London about twenty years ago.

The mob can love ya and they can also tear you apart. Watch out for the fickle finger of fate and or the fickle hand and arm of fat, lazy, inbred moron emperors.

Six years on – this cultural” Christian” is still wandering around in the dark (but with a better sense of direction perhaps than six years ago)

Just because man invented the concept of god, (it) does mean that god does not exist.

After six years of this blog I have many times, in describing my perceptions of things, that in terms of people trying to find some spiritual satisfaction in the old religions, I am content to report that they, along with myself included, have many times come away empty from this search.

That many times these old religions are obsolete because the god and or gods on which these old religions are based – the god-base is obsolete as well. Obscure gods giving obscure directions to even obscurer and or dim-witted souls (“humans”).

Obsolete because they, she, he, it, do not presently fully integrate with the new definitions needed to co-exist with the new virtual global reality. Clear vision for the faithful - reading the myth once more to remain in perfect harmony with the “sacred” message born out of the ancient oral sounds and or written text? Yeah right.

I have stated many times that the old definition of god ( in the context of my cultural corner of the universe) in this modern global culture needs a new definition to be relevant in the repeating of the myth - for the ten trillionth and one time.

Today – I believe that not only the definition of god is obsolete but for sake of a better thing to say – god too is obsolete as well in our growing robot dependent culture.  Obsolete - and irrelevant as well? (God, or its new definition, is a thing evolving that we now at present do not recognize and I fear - is right in front of us as well.)

Man as a monkey evolved with hands to make tools and make daily bread / food and or shelter. God at some points of the timeline got defined by the monkeys. GOD of the future is presently being designed (redesigned?) and is I think, by true definition, literally a logarithm?

Today, technology and toys are the tools not to create anything real, but dependency, so much a virtual stop gap measure, but something shiny to occupy the monkey masses while the robots, ATMs, credit cards, I-pods, I-phones, goog-L-glasses, games etc. take hold invading the ancient body politic, home, culture. The old hand of power slipping silently, gently into a newer glove of power?

Does that make me an atheist – at least for one day? No. Not really. It all depends on what your definition of atheist is – is.

And quite frankly what I see of all these I.V. league dis-educated trust fund elite types on both sides of the English speaking pond - all shouting at each other in alpha male posturing to be the head of the heap of this new atheist religion thing masquerading as an anti-religion/anti-god thing – I don’t see much. A corner street fight, not a major world religion contender.

Nothing in a major way from that side of the court except for a few small voices drowned out in that local street fight thing for power on a small turf thing but one with the ability to grow and franchise, cashing in on the new “None” of the above religious beliefs – Nones – and their growing footprint of - by default “religious” and or “non-religious” POVs.

Replacing god and or religion with your new non-definitions or more accurately, these non-definitions of god and religion are many times mixed with secular politics. In a way, and for some time, the ruling elites like the atheist Koch Brothers / George Soros types have been maneuvering within their greedy anti-human capitalism religion to downgrade the old Christ religion in favor of the new Capitalist religion – where the magic hands of high priests of capitalism make the magic bread of a “perfect” (man-made) economic model.  “Perfect” is god. Therefore capitalism must be “god”. Etc.

Whatever.

That dependence on electricity, clean water, calories, fossil fuel based heat and energy, communication electronics, games, entertainment, time killing drugs, drone office cubicle “work” etc. The old religions are dead. The old gods are dead. The new religion, the new god, is injected into the dependent veins of the present race addicted to convenience and the ignorance tagged along with it.

The old economics are dead as well but let’s not go there. The forensics of dissecting that dead old economic dinosaur of ages past is beyond my mere blogging spot. LMAO

I can well imagine myself being a Roman in the last days of Rome and not believing in the old gods and here comes along the mean desert god male army penis religion of Constantine to tell me what to believe and when to march and when to worship the emperor etc. = Constantine’s “Christ”-inanity.

The story of Constantine’s Roman “Christ” myth as the basis of his new Roman Empire State Religion have been told a couple of trillion of times by now on the timeline of human history and a couple hundred thousand times in my personal timeline at least as well.

A lie told once is still a lie. A lie and or myth told a trillion times is still a lie and or a myth - and or the basic cultural myth (shit mixed with dirt at our feet) of all - like it or not...

That there are those minor conflicts of the myth of original Jewish rabbi “Jesus” (“Jesus Christ minus the Constantine Christ) – conflicts many times within the dumbed down media exercise to kill intelligence (old time) and more importantly kill time as the clock runs out toward the designed future of the minority elites living in space (bubble) pods here and on other planets and the voids of space off-planet.

More and more the extremes in politics and its many masks (in and of religion and or economics) - reminds me of religious and or satanic cults of the past = brainwashing by any other name = not reality by my personal definition of it.

And so it goes.

Rocco’s Little Chicago Tucson Arizona – A Great to Eat if you are not an Asshole Arizona Politician

In Arizona’s boom and bust economy it is surprising that I run into a piece of an old acquaintance from Tucson, Rocco of Rocco’s Little Chicago Pizzeria along the main east west drag East Broadway on Internet News.

I can remember when Rocco’s was searching around for the right spot to put his version of Chicago and its style of pizza and Italian food on the local Menu and under the Stripes and Stars Chicago City Flag inside the restaurant.

His wife was a fellow co-worker at a local HMO before it was sold out to the Corporate Global Spreadsheet, before you had to dial a 1-800 number to help you with your primary care doctor or your meds and reach perhaps in those days Minnesota which is probably Mumbai these days.

The corporate culture of that local HMO was such that everybody was a member of a team and almost like family. So it was not hard to keep up with the progress of Rocco starting a business with limited capital and in the boom and bust economy of an old cow town, university town of Tucson.

I was pleasingly surprised to see that Rocco had posted a sign restricting service to the morons in the state legislature over this recent religious right to discriminate law. The sign above.

I wished him and his wife and baby luck at the grand opening of Rocco’s in the late nineties before traveling back east to a more stable long term work environment. I even gave him a collage of old newspaper stuffed into the seat of a shaker chair I bought there in a thrift store. Rocco said he was going to hang it in the bathroom.

Doubt is something as brilliant and as valuable (sarcasm) as one of my works of art has survived the tourists.

People generally roll their eyes when I try to extrapolate how I see the whole new Global Culture thing as of and by the Corporate Spreadsheet.

They ignore me when I say that the Corporate Global Spreadsheet has reduced everything and everybody on this planet to commodity status and commodity value. 

That in many instances humanity has little or no cash value in the quest for obscene corporate profits and greed. 

That I assign a label as the Wharton Global Spreadsheet to the contamination and or destruction of our local culture(s) at the expense of this new corporate global money hegemony thing.

That as such, many people think they can ignore the present economics of humanity and still separately and equally apply old fashioned cultural or religious standards to things.

As such, I see on the right the usurpation of religion by politics to win elections and to take human rights and living wages away from humanity.

That the growth of ignorance in religion in my lifetime has I think grown exponentially and with no doubt help from the global corporate hegemony, directly or indirectly.  

That I truly believe that the current growth of fundamentalism and creationism and turning the black on white words of the bible into a commodity to be used for political and economic reasons rather than spiritual growth is due to the Spreadsheet-ization of the Bible into statistics and delusional facts to support the political base.

Right Wing Archbishop Chaput Continues His Hatchet Job Gutting Assets of Philly Archdiocese to pay for fiscal Mismanagement of the last 40 years of his Predecessors Spending Tens of Millions on Culture War Politics

“Our”? “We”? Spokesman for the Right Wing of the American RC church has some financials to deal with after spouting out too much anger against Pope Francis in Rio de Janeiro that gets accurately reported in the American Catholic press. He did the same thing in Spain back in 2011. 

(Off on my prediction by six months I think about Chaput becoming the great embarrassment of the American RC church, per above link.)

Charles gets a little heady being in Catholic Fascist countries like Spain or projecting oneself into Brazil where nine year old girls can get raped by their fathers and then be refused an abortion and at the same time also blamed for forcing dad to rape her. 

Leasing Cemeteries and getting rid of the Nursing Homes originally built to house the aging parents of nuns and clergy, no need to worry about that now for all those imported priests from Africa and Asia.

Archbishop Charles Chaput has signed off on expert advice of the accounting firm KGMP to cook the books and sell and lease off assets to pay for all the lawyers bills in the ongoing Child Abuse secret Sub-Business (sub-culture) of the Philly Archdiocese (wink,nod).

How do you lease a cemetery? And who gets use of the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund? That’s a question for experts on cemeteries like Cardinal Dolan in New York I would think.  

Then you fire the 180 people working in the Catholic cemeteries there now and then maybe the leasing company will offer to hire some of them back for half the wages and no healthcare benefits or pension plan?  

No wonder Chaput hates Pope Francis and his public statements so far about humanity and in contrast to the past thirty years of right wing bishops being installed by the bankers at the Vatican. Whatever.

In an aggressive move to help remedy its deep financial woes, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia said Tuesday that it had put its six nursing homes up for sale. 

 The archdiocese also said it would attempt to lease out 11 cemeteries and two parcels that could be used as cemeteries. 

 In addition, the archdiocese said it would try to outsource the management of the cemeteries, a move that could cut costs and increase revenue. 

 "Our difficult financial situation must be addressed and the actions that we need to take may be painful ones," Archbishop Charles J. Chaput said in a news release. 

 "I understand this fact fully, but it is of critical importance that we rebuild our financial foundation so that we can continue our collective good works." 

 The archdiocese last month reported a $39.2 million loss for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012. Excluding millions in unusual expenses, the archdiocese's cash outlays in fiscal 2012 still exceeded revenue by $17.4 million.

 In addition to annual operating shortfalls, the archdiocese has huge long-term gaps in its balance sheet, totaling about $350 million, for pensions, self-insurance reserves, and money owed to a trust-and-loan fund for parishes.

Why not lease out the cathedral to Burlington Coat Factory while you are at it?
