Zimmerman is an honorary white man at best or so he claims as part of his entitlement as with his Anglo and South American bloodline. As for this recent domestic incident with his wife, his wife presumably without a gun must cling to her father and 911 for protection. As for the changing of the dialogue, he said, she said storyline, about whether George had a gun or not, well it reeks of the original tale of Trayvon and telling the tale that the cops want to hear in order for them to get back to their donuts and coffee or is it really more like pizza and beer gathered around the sports cable channel on at the local police station house down there in swampland USA aka Florida.

So too Canadian Senator Ted Cruz has to suck up to white images of success in order to imitate white success and pretend he is a full white man in a white man’s American world.

Steve Bracknell is the chief of the Lake Mary police department, which is investigating Zimmerman, 29, for allegedly threatening his estranged wife, Shellie, and his father-in-law with a gun on Monday. 

In an email exchange with a Lake Mary resident critical of the department's initial decision not to arrest or charge Zimmerman, Bracknell appears to agree with the writer's description of Zimmerman, acquitted in July of murdering Martin, an unarmed black teenager, as "a ticking time bomb". 

"Zimmerman is a Sandy Hook, Aurora waiting to happen," the resident, Santiago Rodriguez, told Bracknell in his first email, seeking an explanation for why Lake Mary officers did not charge Zimmerman. 

"Your reference to Sandy Hook … I agree," Bracknell replied. 

At the end of a follow-up email urging Bracknell not to "give up" on the investigation, Rodriguez wrote: "Sooner or later another mother and father is going to be on CNN lashing out against the system due to this man snapping." 

Bracknel replied: "As for your final thoughts, again, on a personal note, I agree."

NASA's unmanned LADEE rocket headed to the moon with an unexpected passenger, a small frog which was caught on camera launching into the air from its home in the marshy wetlands surrounding the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.An apparent typo at ABC News or Google News Page - LOL 

One of three still-cameras setup around the launch site, triggered by sound, caught the small frog in the air. The frog is hard to miss in the photo with its arms and legs spread wide surrounded by debris from the wetlands, also lifted up by the power of the rocket's engines. The photo was posted to NASA's Instagram account.  

"We got back to the office after the launch at 12:30 a.m. and we're all pretty amused and amazed," Chris Perry told ABCNews.com. "It was also sad to see a frog go like that. As much fire as that rocket is putting out, I have to imagine it got injured."

AMSTERDAM (AP) — The Van Gogh Museum says it has identified a long-lost Vincent Van Gogh painting that spent years in a Norwegian attic believed to be by another painter. It is the first full-size canvas by the Dutch master discovered since 1928.

"Sunset at Montmajour" depicts trees, bushes and sky, painted with Van Gogh's familiar thick brush strokes. It can be dated to the exact day it was painted because Vincent described it in a letter to his brother, Theo, and said he painted it the previous day — July 4, 1888.

He said the painting was done "on a stony heath where small twisted oaks grow."

(CNN) -- A man who police said was 107 years old was killed in a confrontation with SWAT officers. 

Police were called to a home in Pine Bluff, where suspect Monroe Isadore was Saturday evening. 

"When they arrived, they were able to determine that an aggravated assault had occurred against two people at the residence," said Lt. David E. Price, a Pine Bluff police spokesman. 

The two victims were led out of the house. 

When officers approached the bedroom where Isadore was hiding, he fired through the door, authorities said.

“Paterson said he believed the food was safe but urged consumers to return products to the retailers. "The French authorities are saying they are viewing the issue as a case of fraud rather than food safety. Anyone who has these products in their freezer should return them to retailers as a precaution.".

Monsignor William Lynn – Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Six Million Dollar Man

This is one of those I was looking for something else and found this instead kind of thing.

I was looking for the possible digital archives of the defunct Catholic Standard and Times for reference to articles of Msgr. Hawks of Saint Joan of Arc Parish in Harrowgate Philadelphia, its doors recently locked under the new Denver bean counter regime of Charles Chaput.

I also found the beginnings of a story about the Standard and Times announced shutting down, getting the axe for budgetary reasons and that 40 employees would lose their Jobs. As far as I can see about 25 full time employees got the sack. 

Being a tax free religious institution, the Archdiocese, employer at the Standard and Times is not liable to pay unemployment compensation to the 25 canned employees. There were also 20 freelance employees who more or less I would assume were self-employed contractors.

Through the transition, the old General Manager of the Standard is Matthew Gambino who probably handed out the pink slips and a holy card to departing fellow employees when the Standard was more or less put on line under the Catholic Philly site label.

Have seen a few headlines of Matthew Gambino who now is the Philly Archdiocese equivalent of one man with a computer a la Bill Donohue over at the Catholic League who being the PR man and gatekeeper to the Archdiocese of NYC.

And not to forget Gambino's many many articles at National Catholic Reporter and Catholic News Service.

Of course, none of this keeps any of the inner city churches of Harrowgate or Frankford in Philly open. Those closings were not financial as they were more due to attendance and probably more so than that to the fact of the lack of priests to go around.
