My good.  But this I think is more a grown man’s attraction for another man and closeted (suppressed) in the name of superstition and or religion (RC religion to be exact). While traveling down low so to speak to try and find how tortured souls, closeted homophobes like Bill Donohue at the Catholic League Mimeograph machine website might be commenting (not thinking) on the recent headlines of kind words for gays from the pope and his crew or tortured souls, closeted homophobe bishops I ran into Bill’s disgust at an actor Tom Selleck.

In another article BTW at the CL site is an article about how “Confused” both the Pope and the Media are about leaked unfinished kind words for “gays” at the current “Synod of Bishops” in Rome…

Well I confess to a certain prejudice. I stopped watching anything the actor Tom Selleck was in long ago once I found out he was a big contributor and card carrying member of the GOP. Mediocre actors need mediocre audiences?

I had to look up what Blue Bloods is as a TV show. See commercials. But don’t want to have to waste any of the precious time I have left on earth in watching a grade “B” Hollywood actor actor like Selleck on a TV Cop Soap Opera show. The grade “B” Hollywood actor Ronald Reagan comes to mind when I think of Selleck and guess what. 

That is the name of the fictional character that Bill Donohue has been getting off on in the past five seasons of “Blue Bloods” of a family of Irish Catholic Cops doing their stuff in New York City with get this, overseen by dad, Commissioner “Frank Reagan” (Tom Selleck) – a load of pre-cum on that fictional name and load of brute power as chief of Police. AHH! Release! (Oh Bill).

Well anyway, Chief Frank Reagan says something nice about da “gays” on his TV show and Bill Donohue wants CBS to cancel the show. Great wet dream if you can pull it off Bill. Have a nice bigoted life.

Rush: Now, you may laugh at the question, but I need to ask it. Are you a devout Catholic? Whatever the Church’s teachings are, you support them? You’re not in business to establish your own point of view on the religion.

Donohue: There’s no question I am a devout Catholic. The Catholic League is not a debating society. We’re here to defend the right of the Church to say whatever it wants in the public arena and people are free to agree or disagree. As John Paul II said, “We’re not here to impose anything. We’re here to propose.” Might I have a few teachings that I might wrestle with? Well, yes, which I’m not going to make public because it’s not about Bill Donohue. It’s about me saying we have this indispensable moral voice and it needs an airing and a respectful hearing instead of catcalls. We don’t have our own views. We don’t have our own teachings. Whatever the teachings are of the Catholic Church, we’re simply saying, “Give it a respectful hearing and then we go our way.”

When Pope Francis speaks about our "throwaway" abortion culture, or comments on marriage as a union between a man and a woman, he wins no points from those on the left. 

 But when he speaks about income inequality, he is praised by the likes of President Barack Obama and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. However, these three men are not speaking from the same page. What is driving Obama and de Blasio is envy; what is driving the Pope is justice. The Catholic Church considers envy to be one of the seven capital sins. It is not identical to jealousy. The jealous want what others have; the envious want to deprive others of what they have. 

 The Austrian-German sociologist, Helmut Schoeck, contended that envy was inherent in human nature and had to be contained. He credited the Catholic Church for taming envy, saying it played a decisive role in the advancement of civilization. But it had a way of springing back with a vengeance, especially in the hands of left-wing politicians.  

 Schoeck's book, "Envy: A Theory of Social Behaviour," released in the 1960s, was a clarion call against the exploitation of envy for political ends. "The time has surely come when we should stop behaving as though envious man was the main criterion for economic and social policy," he said.

Catholic League Appeals for Evidence To Clear Archbishop Nienstedt of Minneapolis Accused of Grabbing a Boy’s Ass at Confirmation

I must say the police are actually investigating possible child abuse and by Archbishop Nienstedt of all people. 

Doctor Bill at Catholic League is looking for evidence to clear Nienstedt, to turn it over to authorities or destroy it if not helpful?

Now—out of the blue—comes an unidentified male who claims he was touched on his buttocks in 2009 by the archbishop while posing for a group photo. Nienstedt denies the charge, adding that he has never inappropriately touched anyone. Moreover, he has not been told the identity of his accuser.

The Catholic League is asking those who were there to share with us any information they have. Specifically, we are interested in obtaining a tape recording, or set of photos, of any Confirmation ceremony in 2009 where Archbishop Nienstedt was present; presumably, the alleged victim was standing next to the archbishop. Twin Cities Archbishop John Nienstedt, already under fire for failing to take action against priests suspected of abuse, announced Tuesday (Dec. 17) that he is stepping aside temporarily after a minor accused the outspoken archbishop of touching his buttocks during a group photo after a 2009 confirmation ceremony. 

In what he called “a difficult letter for me to write,” Nienstedt says he learned of the allegation during the weekend. He said he does not know the young man and he presumes his accuser to be “sincere in believing what he claims.” 

But he rejected the charge as “absolutely and entirely false.”

It is plain for everyone to see that the bishops will not walk away from the fight for religious liberty, a battle thrust upon them by the Obama administration. Monsignor William Lynn – Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Six Million Dollar Man

This is one of those I was looking for something else and found this instead kind of thing.

I was looking for the possible digital archives of the defunct Catholic Standard and Times for reference to articles of Msgr. Hawks of Saint Joan of Arc Parish in Harrowgate Philadelphia, its doors recently locked under the new Denver bean counter regime of Charles Chaput.

I also found the beginnings of a story about the Standard and Times announced shutting down, getting the axe for budgetary reasons and that 40 employees would lose their Jobs. As far as I can see about 25 full time employees got the sack. 

Being a tax free religious institution, the Archdiocese, employer at the Standard and Times is not liable to pay unemployment compensation to the 25 canned employees. There were also 20 freelance employees who more or less I would assume were self-employed contractors.

Through the transition, the old General Manager of the Standard is Matthew Gambino who probably handed out the pink slips and a holy card to departing fellow employees when the Standard was more or less put on line under the Catholic Philly site label.

Have seen a few headlines of Matthew Gambino who now is the Philly Archdiocese equivalent of one man with a computer a la Bill Donohue over at the Catholic League who being the PR man and gatekeeper to the Archdiocese of NYC.

And not to forget Gambino's many many articles at National Catholic Reporter and Catholic News Service.

Of course, none of this keeps any of the inner city churches of Harrowgate or Frankford in Philly open. Those closings were not financial as they were more due to attendance and probably more so than that to the fact of the lack of priests to go around.

DeSales University Hosts Bill Donohue’s Standard Boilerplate Catholic Fascist Speech to Rounds of Applause from a Grateful Rich White Catholic Audience

Talking to a audience of well healed Catholic White People at DeSales University just outside Allentown Pa, Donohue pandered his standard fare of coded hate to the African American President Obama to tremendous applause.

It should be remembered that the people who can afford tuition to private elite Catholic colleges are the people zygoted, bred, wed and dead in the affluent burbs and seek that their’s is the only point of view possible in the best of all possible pampered trust funded worlds.

Apparently the Secularists have a secularist university and or academy or old Bill is in his usual blacked out state on his way from Rosey O’Grady’s Saloon in midtown Manhattan. The reference to “Academy” below is I think purely Donohue-style Delusional.

Of course there were rounds of applause in the sea of white faces regarding women not having the right to an abortion, a medical procedure, in places like Mississippi and North Dakota etc.

The American Catholic Church has already missed the boat completely on the equal marriage civil rights thing. 

But then equal marriage rights will be a direct challenge to the need for celibacy in the their Catholic clergy ranks which have for centuries been the place to put your odd son in the family in a safe lifetime meal ticket job, just like Bill's job. If your odd son or daughter (gay) can marry and make a life for himself or herself outside of the Church, who needs the church in this new modern day sexual equation. Two's company, three is a crowd.

But I think the real heart of the American Catholic coded mission statement and its commitment to the political right is to the abolition of the U.S. Constitution and comes in Bill Donohue’s remark:

"I don't want to dialogue. I want to win."

Similarly, we have the lament of people like Mary Johnson, a former nun, who told the MSNBC audience how  “marginalized” gay and lesbian Catholics are. Catholic-bashing lawyer Marci Hamilton chimed in, commenting about the “sex abuse scandal that has scandalized the church over the past decade.” Any high school fact checker knows better: the timeline of the homosexual scandal was the mid-60s to the mid-80s. 

Washington Post opinion writer Eugene Robinson wants to know “what did the newly chosen Pope Francis do” about the right-wing dictatorship in Argentina’s “Dirty War”? We have an answer from Adolfo Perez Esquivel, the 1980 Nobel Peace Prize winner: he said the pope “was no accomplice of the dictatorship.” Indeed, he firmly concluded, “He can’t be accused of that.” Others have written books praising the pope for his yeoman efforts in undermining the junta.

Neo-Con “War on Christmas” just a Publicity Stunt to Get Free Media Time to Sell the Obsolete Christian Myth – Civil War / Implosion within Christianity Spills Out over into the Streets

Nobody in a secular world wants to hear the ten trillionth repeat of the Constantine Christ Myth make up seventeen hundred years ago and hijacked from the original now extinct “Christians”.

The political decision for the political Neo-Cons who hate women and genuine freedom of expression are marking their territory like dogs saying that only white male entitled Constantine Myth can and must continue to be displayed in the public realm in America.

That once the public square must show a white person Nativity Scene, the next display will be anti-abortion or anti-gay billboards, changing with the seasons and or the whim of Massa Jim DeMint over at the White Massa Club aka as the tax free Heritage Foundation.

If anything, with Irish drunks like Bill O’Reilly and Bill Donohue being the main spokesmen for the myth of the war on Christmas, the implosion of the Vatican and right wing American Christian organizations whose main income now is not from individual contributions but the American Taxpayer through the George W.Bush Faith Based “charity” rip off – that implosion is showing in this phony PR War for Media Attention at Christmas.

The Civil War going on in the Catholic Church, whereby Cultural Catholics, Cafeteria Catholics, Closeted Clergy, Uber(I am holier than the pope)-Catholics and others who cannot sit down together and look their fellow Catholics in the eye in their ancient made up service, is the reason why so much of this vitriol of Christians spills out onto the sidewalks and into the public squares in America at this time of the year.

Please go back to the old days and gather inside your houses of worship and keep your evil shit to yourselves.

Catholic Moral Majority is not the Catholic Left – As Kafkaesque Dolan/Donohue Explains - Catholic Moral Majority Offended by Continuing Obscene Presence of Bishop Finn in K.C.MO

The Election is barely over but President of the USCCB’s personal mouthpiece Bill Donohue over at the Catholic League is going with the Kafkaesque labeling of the Moral Majority of Catholics as the “Left” which is a political term.  The GOP lost the White House Tim and Bill. 

People who disagree with your corrupt interpretation of all this Catholic Hierarchical Stuff count it as something personal and publicly offensive as in the case of the aiding and abetting of a Sexual Offender, Bishop Finn of Kansas City Missouri continuing in office with tacit consent of the American Bishops and the overwhelming support of the corrupt regime presently in power in the Vatican.

Bill Donohue who is now labeling Finn’s many enemies as the “left” seems to have insiders knowledge of porn content and claims, implies, that only “One Nude Crotch Photo” of a little girl is not pornographic and that Father Ratigan, a personal buddy of Bobby Finn, was a victim of a miscarriage of American Judgment in his Kiddie Porn Conviction.

If that drunk and moral retard Bill Donohue is not playing bad cop to your "good" cop Cardinal Dolan and does not speak for you or your Church regarding Bishop Finn, please state so on this matter! Thank you.

BISHOP FINN AND THE CATHOLIC LEFT

But it also needs to be said that crotch shots are not pornographic. Moreover, the diocese described the “single photo” of a naked girl to a police officer who served on the diocesan sexual review board, and he said it did not constitute pornography. So why would the Times say that “hundreds of pornographic pictures” were found two years ago this month? The record shows that it was not until after the diocese called the cops in May 2011 that porn pictures were found on Ratigan’s computer.… 

Under Bishop Finn, the review board was contacted, the authorities were notified, and an independent investigation was ordered (the Graves Report). In short, Bishop Finn deserves better. The attack on him, coming exclusively from the Catholic Left, smacks of an agenda.

Unable to establish “morality” in the American Town Square as in the case of the Dolan/Donohue corrupt RC Hierarchy dynamic dual in New York City, the New York Times, the sometimes “Moral Authority” of the secular American Public Square has published an article, an editorial of sorts, to stir up the flies and maggots in the horse shit pile aka the Bishop Finn situation in Kansas City Missouri.


Missouri Bishop’s Conviction Leaves Clergy Divided

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In the three months since Bishop Robert W. Finn became the first American prelate convicted of failing to report a pedophile priest, lay people and victims’ advocates have repeatedly called for his resignation… 

“I think it would be easier for us to move forward without Bishop Finn as our bishop,” the Rev. Michael Clary, the pastor at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, Mo., which is part of Bishop Finn’s diocese, said in an interview. He added, however, that the bishop’s resignation may not be the only way forward. 

Such sentiments raise the question of whether Bishop Finn can successfully continue to oversee a diocese of 87 parishes and more than 130,000 people, or whether he will go the way of Cardinal Bernard F. Law, who gave up his post in Boston a decade ago after an outcry over his practice of reassigning priests accused of abuse to new parishes. A national online petition calling for Bishop Finn’s resignation has collected nearly 110,000 signatures… 

Festering anger and mistrust throughout the diocese present huge challenges in persuading parishioners to open their wallets. Priests critical of Bishop Finn said that for that to happen, he needed to admit wrongdoing and ask for forgiveness. 

“Some say he has made that apology, he has said he’s sorry, but he hasn’t told us what he’s sorry for,” said the Rev. Matthew Brumleve, pastor at Holy Family in Kansas City and another 20-year veteran of the diocese. 

“Is he sorry he got caught? Is he sorry we don’t see things the way he sees them? Or is he truly sorry for letting down the children of this diocese?” But Father Brumleve said he believed that Bishop Finn did not see the necessity of offering a more robust apology. 

“That’s going to be the millstone around our neck until that happens,” he said.
