Catholic Supreme Court Concurs on Continued Half Assed Execution Chemical Experimentation – Arizona

The Supreme Court on Tuesday overturned a federal appeals court’s decision to stay an Arizona execution, one that had been halted due to concerns regarding the secrecy surrounding the lethal injection process.

"It took Joseph Wood two hours to die, and he gasped and struggled to breathe for about an hour and 40 minutes. We will renew our efforts to get information about the manufacturer of drugs as well as how Arizona came up with the experimental formula of drugs it used today," attorney Dale Baich said in a statement.

He added: "Arizona appears to have joined several other states who have been responsible for an entirely preventable horror -- a bungled execution."

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer had directed the Department of Corrections to review the process, saying she is concerned by the length of time it took to carry out the lethal injection.

…But the Indiana farmer, Vernon Hugh Bowman, who had signed such contracts for his main crop, said he discovered a loophole for a second, riskier crop later in the growing season.

For that second crop, he bought seeds from a grain elevator filled with a mix of seeds in the reasonable hope that many of them contained Monsanto’s patented Roundup Ready gene.

Seeds from grain elevators are typically sold for animal feed, food processing or industrial uses. But Mr. Bowman planted them and sprayed them with Roundup. Many plants survived, and he replanted their seeds.

Monsanto sued, and a federal judge in Indiana ordered Mr. Bowman to pay the company more than $84,000. The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which specializes in patent cases, upheld that decision, saying that by planting the seeds Mr. Bowman had infringed Monsanto’s patents.

Justice Kagan agreed, suggesting that Mr. Bowman had been too clever for his own good.

Mr. Bowman’s main argument was that a doctrine called patent exhaustion allowed him to do what he liked with products he had obtained legally. But Justice Kagan said it did not apply to the way he had used the seeds.

“Under the patent exhaustion doctrine, Bowman could resell the patented soybeans he purchased from the grain elevator; so too he could consume the beans himself or feed them to his animals,” she wrote.

“But the exhaustion doctrine does not enable Bowman to make additional patented soybeans without Monsanto’s permission,” she added, and went on to say that “that is precisely what Bowman did.”

The “Hack Squad” of papal clack Sen Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire walked her designated female two steps behind as famous couple John McCain and Lindsey Graham (Arsenic and Old Lace) roamed the halls of Congress yesterday looking for a fresh race victim in the form of Ambassador Susan Rice.

Sen. Ayotte who thinks that Jews are unqualified to sit on the Supreme Court is no doubt reading off the talking point lists from both the RNC and the Vatican Propaganda Bureau in the hopes that someday soon a seventh Catholic Supreme Court seat be given to an obedient Catholic pre-approved by the Pig Shit Irish in charge of the USCCB under Abp. Timmy Dolan on direct orders from his monarch Benedict XVI.

Be ready in the future to hear more from this Catholic Religious Mouthpiece on the Far Right as victims like Susan Rice get chewed up and spit out in President Obama’s so-called second lame duck administration by the whites in charge on Capitol Hill.

Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, LCMS, begging for crumbs at the Catholic/Mormon table - 2012

Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, President of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)’s bragging rights and admission to the discriminatory, and some, myself, might call the Hate Table of present evangelical American Christianity merged in secret PACs of the RCs with the Mormon Pagan Cult and the fanatical far right politicos is some strange ride for first termer President Harrison up for re-election in 2013.

Of course the LCMS is highly thought of in the RC hierarchy circles for its strict conservative view of Scriptures.  Harrison’s tenure has seen immediate downsizing and outsourcing of the corporate headquarters in St. Louis to displace hundreds of employees.  One wonders how the State of India or the People’s Republic of China will serve in practical function of the outsourcing of Sacraments to save a buck under “Tea Party Matt”.

The saving view of a dying institution like the RC church in Europe and North America is to downsize on people and expenses in the hope that the middle ages will return in the global world view in the future.  The LCMS has taken this survivalist; take no prisoners approach in defending the Bible as literal and jumping into bed, figuratively of course, with the USCCB United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on all political matters with Matt Harrison at the helm of the leaky LCMS rudderless boat.

The landmark Hosanna Tabor case handed down by a unanimous Catholic dominated U.S. Supreme Court stands by “ministerial exception” or “ministerial” Privilege alongside outmoded concepts like Chattel voting rights and people as property in the original U.S. Constitution.  Bravo Matt, enjoy the fruits of your labor at the Catholic feast table against human rights in favor of religious liberty to discriminate against all non-Catholic/Missouri Synod members and non-members within your religious bubble world.  And let's not forget the religious freedom to the feeding frenzy on all your elderly members, their assets and bequests.

The LCMS is at odds with it falling memberships against the larger more progressive ELCA, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, with its more open interpretation of Scripture but sticking to basics.  Even with that, female ordination or monogamous gay ordination are within the boundaries of the ELCA message of Jesus that has its roots going back to tolerant Quaker Philadelphia in mid-eighteenth century America.

LCMS, enjoy the temporary merger in the 2012 election year with the Papes and the Joseph Smith-ers. And don’t yell rape in 2013 when the crumbs the Catholics and the Mormons sweep your way today are not enough to sustain your dying religious base into the future.

Georgia State Lynching and the Divine Power of Soul

In Jewish myth, there is a soulless creature; a Frankenstein monster like creature, that was formed out of mud and magic words. It, in myth, was used to protect the Jewish community, ghettos, from pogroms of hate and murder against these Jewish communities living in a sea of so-called civilized Christian humanity in medieval Europe.

There are parallels with the idea of this “Golem” creature and the creation of Adam by God.  The myth states something like the fact that Adam, until God breathed a soul into him, he was merely a monster, a creature.

So too, the state without a soul or a spirit, can be a monster too.

Since the Supreme Court has gone out of the way to say that corporations are human entities and have rights as such, I have to wonder if these corporations and or the states have souls.  

I doubt that even the Mighty god "Justice" Scalia can breathe a soul into a corporation or a state such as Texas or Georgia.

“I will believe corporations are people when Texas executes one.”

There was a racist lynching last week by the state of Georgia for fun and entertainment of the white masses IMHO.  It was a modern version of a lynching but it still was a lynching, never the less.  There was reasonable doubt.

  

The former Governor Mario Cuomo of the state of New York refused to sign off on any death penalty while he held that state office.  He knew that statistically, mistakes can be made, we are all human and not gods like on the Supreme Court.  I have seen a statistic that as many as 30 percent of convictions for the death penalty are flawed enough to mean that some innocent men in prison have died at the hands of the executioner.

Unfortunately, not every state or regional culture sees it the same way as old Mario.  As such I think that we have to find common ground and try to agree on something.

If the State is a corporation and considered a human entity in these bizarre modern times, then does that entity have a soul or spirit?

Like the Golem of Jewish myth, the creature needs a soul in order to be human like Adam – and not be a monster.

While I do not really believe in all this politicking enforcing the power of corporations or the state as my equal, I do demand something and as a minimalist Cultural Christian.

I demand that the state and or corporations live by rules.  And in a so-called Christian society, the basic rules of law can be based on the Ten Commandments.

“Thou shall not kill.”  OR “Thou shall not murder.”  - As in the case of some language interpretation – and if you want them carved on your state capital hallways,  You as the state must live them and live by them and not merely use them as art and or interior decoration.

The states and or corporations are merely Golems, monsters, until proof of a soul and or human spirit is evident in them.  

Until then, beware of any popular myths that say is it okay or it is good for the state to kill.
