Monsanto – The New Bread of Life – God? – Vandana Shiva thinks not!

I ran into Bill Moyers Journal with the Indian Activist Sandana Shiva and my third eye opened up in terms of putting the Global concept on the individual level that I try to follow and document.
But the disturbing thing is how International Corporate Agri-Business is gobbling up the third world like in India and killing off hundreds of thousands of farmers through suicide who can no longer live or compete on their small plots of once fertile and plentiful food producing land. They can’t compete with the new God Monsanto – and its patented re-definitions of Food and God.
I am getting old.  I can remember when Monsanto was a chemical company primarily into the production of linoleum. Linoleum? What’s that? Told you I was old.
But my getting old is not the issue. The issue is how the global corporations are taking the global concept to a control all level of the human existence.  Humans no longer count in the Agri-business global model.  Humans and Farmers – being tossed off the Global Corporate Spreadsheet genetically engineered at Wharton, Brown and Harvard.
Monsanto is not God! Though it is trying to play God all over the planet with its genetically altered food, patenting it and monopolizing worldwide food production in that only its patented seeds are the only seeds available now to many farmers in the third world.
That lies that genetically altered seeds produce more food, greater yield, are even believed by fools like Bill Gates of Microsoft.  Bill better get off his high horse if he genuinely wants to help humanity and not corporations.

Harden Up Penn State! Joe Paterno just like RC Bishops – Coward and Child Rapist Enabler – Nothing More

Face of a Hero or an Enabler?

It is difficult for people who only knew Joe Paterno through the lens of football to use other language to describe him.
And in a way if that was all he did with his prestige and power, then football is all he would want or deserve to be remembered for now.  But he enabled Sandusky and any accomplices he had, to systematically glean the countryside for boys without fathers to befriend victimize and rape these children for decades through the Second Mile tax free charity.
What Joe Paterno knew was more than the “I am innocent, he was a saint “ statements coming out the mouths of his family at present, a family that benefits from the millions of hush money Joe demanded from the Penn State Board of Trustees and got to take the truth to the grave with him.
His wife’s church on campus is a chantry, a place with masses will be said forever for the soul of a corporate bastard that cared only about himself, his job and his phony reputation as a nice guy. Tell the families of all of Jerry Sandusky’s rape victims that Joe Paterno was basically a nice guy.  Yeah right.  Bastard!
His statue at Beaver Stadium is the last vestige of the innocence of the public and the public’s interest in football and the myth of Joe Paterno. That is why it is so hard to scrap the statue at a junk yard where it now belongs.  That and the fact that the fat cat donors coming into home games in their private and corporate jets want the myth of Joe Paterno to surround the surrealistic feel good world of Saturday afternoon college football.  They don’t want to hear about victims. They don’t care about victims.
That fat cat rich donors, some of them, are just as guilty as Jerry, Joe, and the Board of Trustees for letting child rape be something that poor boys had to endure at the expense of the corporate greed, power and prestige reality of American College Football.
In a sense the scandal, as a mild term or descriptive, the crime of child trafficking of the Second Mile Charity for Sandusky and possibly his friends and rich Penn State donors, is a criminal matter in secular terms.
It is difficult for people also who have only known their parish priests as patriarchs, mentors or even friends but the bottom end of a hierarchical ladder that claims monopoly on the divine, to recognize that in the ranks, some priests are rotten apples and that the whole institution to protect itself will say anything, do anything, spend anything in order to protect the prestige of the religious institution.
That is why the American Bishops are trying to reopen the contraception matrix, to change the subject, in order to hide the ongoing buggery behind the scenes in the Church that the Bishops refuse and or are incapable of dealing with in human terms, not institutional terms.
I think that a lot of people are cowards that cannot give up the myths and fantasies that hurt others while they gluttonize on their favorite desserts of Football or God.
Football is nothing more than a game. But Sandusky raping young boys is a matter of life and death, of innocence lost.
In the aftermath of Sandusky's arrest, Paterno was treated as a victim, a man who was caught up in something he wasn't aware of. Now we know that was a lie.
Freeh produced the documents showing Paterno, his family and his legion of supporters lied in order to protect Paterno's name. All he cared about was breaking the all-time record set by Grambling State head coach Eddie Robinson.
Paterno, and the other Penn State lackeys, had to know that turning Sandusky in could prevent "JoePa" from breaking that record. So they all stayed silent, and all the while young boys suffered in their own silence.
When it's time to name the great coaches of college football, Robinson, Bear Bryant, Amos Alonzo Stagg and Knute Rockne will certainly be mentioned. Prior to the Freeh report, Paterno would have been on that list. But his actions in the Sandusky affair destroyed everything he accomplished in his career.
Great coaches make the tough calls. When Paterno failed to make the toughest call of his life -- to the police to turn in his longtime friend -- he did more than cost his team a victory. Young boys lost something they can never recover.
That's what cowards do, and Joe Paterno was a coward.

George Lopez Comments on Romney’s Denial of his Latino Roots

George Lopez - Not afraid to call a puto a Puto.

Comedian and actor George Lopez pulls no punches about Mitt Romney’s denial of his Chicano Roots.
(warning: “f” bomb used on video in article)
GEORGE LOPEZ: Mitt Romney wants the Latino vote. He ain't going to get it. He ain't going to get it. And you know why? Because Mitt Romney is a f--king Latino and he won't admit it. His father was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. Mitt Romney is a Chicano. But he won’t admit it. “I am not. I am Danish. I am French.”
If you want our vote puto, come out of the closet. Get a hair net and lean back and say ole…His father, his grandfather went to Mexico to create a Mormon colony. That don't sit good with Mexicans when you want six wives to get twelve kids. F--king Latinos can have one wife and get twelve kids. Don't f--king cheat.

Joe Paterno’s Monument Statue to Buggery and Half-Assed Penn State Trusteeship to Remain Forever – Business as Usual

Stick it to the Public!
Penn State Board of Trustees

Business as Usual at the Penn State Board of Trustees meeting in Scranton.
The poor dears, the Board of Trustees don’t want to be pushed into tearing down Joe Paterno In Hell’s Monument to the Football Cult and the Football gods at Penn State.
Same kind of decision making that left Jerry Sandusky “Humanely” do his thing for decades.
Besides, the Fcuking statute cost good money and the fat cat donors are ready for football, football, football come Autumn.  Screw the Public!
If anything, secret plans are under way to replace obsolete Beaver Stadium with a new 150,000 capacity Penn State Joe Paterno Memorial Football Stadium.  Governor Tom Corbett thinks he can find money in the Pennsylvania State Budget for important things like a new Stadium. It will create jobs, a no-bid construction project awarded by the state out of the Governor’s office that is.
Tom left cart blanche with his fellow crony trustee buddies meeting in Scranton about the new Stadium proposal. Absentee trustees like Tom Corbett trust his crony buddies on the board to do the right thing for themselves and hisself as well.  History shows that.
The Trustees secretly kind of like Joe’s Bronze finger sticking to the public similar to the way they have done the books all these successful years at Football and oh yeah, there is that education thing to be considered at Penn State too.

They also want to avoid making a rash decision in the heat of the moment. There has been considerable debate in the media about whether the statue should be taken down.
"You can't let people stampede you into making a rash decision," said one trustee, according to the ESPN report. "The statue represents the good that Joe did. It doesn't represent the bad that he did."
In board meetings in Scranton, Pa., held Thursday and Friday, some trustees believe the statue would have to be taken down at some point, but they decided that it would stand for the coming weeks and months.

Paterno and Sandusky – Penn State Corporate Pimps!

Pimps - Penn State

What are they all crying about?

Joe Paterno got a $5.5 Million dollar Platinum Parachute retirement deal. And he and his family get twenty five years of free rides on the Penn State Company Jet and twenty five years use of a private box at Beaver Stadium.

Penn State – I thought that was a state supported university – Private Jet – to ride in donors on their way in to get a taste of Jerry’s kids in the Private Boxes for big donors? Don't need that Jet no more I think. (Pimpmobile?)

Something really wrong here. Am I the only crazy one here or does anybody else smell many dead corpses rotting away under the floor boards and behind the walls in the Halls of Penn State???

Joe Paterno’s statue is still standing outside Beaver Stadium.  Why hasn’t it been scraped in a Junk Yard? If they leave his monument there any longer, maybe they should dress it up, only thing missing on that statue is a Zoot Suit - appropriate attire for a pimp.

Joe and Jerry had a lot of good years pimping for the Education Industrial Complex and College Football.

Jerry is going to Jail. Joe is in Hell. He sold his soul to the company he worked for. Not so unusual these days.

End of Story.  Get over it!

Please put another dozen of the corporate pimps running Penn State as part of Joe Paterno’s Pimp Run Tenure in jail for a start.

It ain’t cool to be a Joe or Jerry groupie anymore.

Party is over.  It, the child trafficking thing, has likely moved on to the other Big College Football Campuses?

Let’s get on with some decency and morality and reality in America before it is too late for America to get on with some decency morality or reality.

Whatever.

Have a nice day.

Penn State University - Matthew 18 1:10

Penn State - Football Idol

Matthew 18 1:10

1
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2
Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them,

3
and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

4
Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5
Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

6
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7
Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

8
If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire.

9
And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

10
Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Gates Foundation Pledges Big Bucks to Family Planning in Developing World

Melinda Gates

Melinda Gates of the Gates Foundation has pledged a large chunk of money and announced a fund raising goal of $4 billion dollars to promote contraception education and greater use in poor countries.

Melinda Gates Launches Global Crusade for Contraception

Decades of research show, conclusively, that improving access to contraception is good for women, good for children, good for countries. Yet over the past 15 years, support for family-planning programs has plummeted. The redirection of development funds to HIV/AIDS programs explains some, but not all, of the drop. Coercive campaigns like China’s one-child policy and forced sterilizations in India have fostered suspicion about state-backed population programs. Conservative religious groups, particularly in the U.S., have tried to link family planning to forced abortion. In 2002, President George W. Bush cut funding to the U.N. Population Fund completely, turning birth control into a bad word. The cause has yet to recover. Backing from Gates, a Catholic who is respected by conservatives and liberals alike, could turn this around….
A Johns Hopkins University study published this week in a leading medical journal, the Lancet, estimates that contraceptive use prevents 272,000 maternal deaths per year. And yet, according to U.N. research, an estimated 220 million women have an unmet need for modern family planning. The Gates Foundation hopes to address this gap. If it succeeds, lives will be saved.

Wrath of God - Charlestown SC - Great Fire of 1861 – Cathedral of St. John and St. Finbar

The picture above of the devastated Catholic cathedral of St. John and St. Finbar was taken in 1865.  Not much had been done in Charleston since the great fire of 1861 that destroyed one third of that city.  The fire spread due to the fact that most of its firemen had enlisted in the Confederate Army and only unskilled slaves were left to man the fire pumps and ladder companies in the city.  A touch of irony, in that the fanaticism of the Southern cause, whereby blind patriotism is not worth a pitcher of spit to throw on an out of control urban firestorm.
Because the pictures are dated in 1865, many times the destruction of the fire of 1861 which had not been restored by 1865 is mistaken by some historians and or southern propagandists, in that these photos are assumed to be the direct cause of Northern hostilities and bombardment etc.
While the Catholic cathedral of St. John and St. Finbar was not struck down by lightning from the Almighty, it did on April 14, 1861 celebrate a mass of thanksgiving, marking the surrender of Union Soldiers at Fort Sumter in the harbor, the official start of the Civil War, the mass followed by the singing of Te Deum, the national anthem of the RCC.
Jefferson Davis’ Confederate Ambassador to the Vatican Bishop Patrick Lynch encountered a few obstacles in his career.  Pius IX refused to receive Lynch as Ambassador, since the Vatican had not given full diplomatic recognition to the Confederacy. The winds of defeat were in the air in 1864 and Pius did not want to be identified with a losing cause.  Lynch was received in private audience with His Holiness as a "bishop" only.

Bishop Lynch defended slavery and the Confederacy in the press north and south.  There were many quotations in the war of words between himself and northern abolitionists and northern bishops centered on the 1839 Papal Bull Supremo Apostolatus condemning slavery. Lynch and other slave owning bishops in the south interpreted the bull as merely condemning the slave trade and not the institution.
In Supremo Apostolatus is a papal bull issued by Pope Gregory XVI regarding the institution of slavery. Issued on December 3, 1839 as a result of a broad consultation among the College of Cardinals, the bull resoundingly denounces both the slave trade and the continuance of the institution of slavery.

Once in Europe, he traveled extensively to seek aid for the Confederacy and even got an audience with Napoleon III of France. Because the war was going so bad for the South in the final months of the American Civil War, few ships were available to run the Northern Blockade and fewer still that would transport someone traveling under Confederate credentials. Lynch got stuck in Europe for a long time.

Lynch tried to get a visa under President Andrew Johnson’s general amnesty following the war but Lynch was refused based on his history.  He made application to the American Secretary of State for an exemption and downplayed, lied about all his anti-abolition writings and instead emphasized his inflated role in the Church’s humanitarian aid to Northern POWs, hospital aid to battlefields etc.
Once back in Charleston, Lynch and the South were penniless.  He went on a wide tour in Europe and in Northern states begging for money to rebuild the loss of many buildings, schools, convents, orphanages lost in the great fire of 1861 and through the war itself.
After the passing of the Archbishop Dagger John Hughes of New York City, a friend of abolition and Abraham Lincoln, Lynch who had kept up a courteous but frosty correspondence with Hughes during the war went there and did a complete PR makeover in NYC.  (You know how that goes, turning a sow’s ear into a silk purse even to this day. Wink. Nod. LOL).
Lynch was now famous in the North as the Catholic humanitarian who traveling across enemy lines with diplomatic humanitarian papers bringing medical supplies, aid and succor to the Union soldiers, imprisoned down south. Just your typically dedicated politically active freedom loving, money raising American bishop. Whatever. The paperwork for Bishop Lynch's recently revived future sainthood is pending somewhere in committee at the USCCB as I understand things.
The Charleton cathedral eventually got rebuilt by the beginning of the twentieth century, a pale reflection of its past. The Irish Saint Finbar got dropped from the name to a simple St. John the Baptist.

Re-energize the World with the Light of Truth and Soul of Compassion

CEOs lead the world? Yeah right.

Those in the world with the capacity to change the world are out of touch. The child’s fable of the Emperor Has No Clothes keeps coming up over and over again on the Internet to describe all the inept, corrupt, uncompassionate, uncaring spreadsheet systems of control, non-leadership, and incompetence in place in the world today in business, government and religion.

Two-thirds of the hungry of the world are women.

Two-thirds of the illiterate of the world are women.

Two-thirds of the poor of the world are women.

That can't be an accident; that has to be a policy.

Where are the leaders who will change these things?

Speech given to the 2012 graduates of Stanford University by Sister Joan Chittister  ...

But how do we know what it means to really be a leader and how do we know who should do it?

There are some clues to those answers in folk literature, I think. The first story is about two boats that meet head on in a shipping channel at night.

As boats are wont to do in the dark, boat number 1 flashed boat number 2: "We are on a collision course. Turn your boat 10 degrees north."

Boat 2 signaled back: "Yes, we are on a collision course. Turn your boat 10 degrees south."

Boat 1 signaled again: "I am an admiral in her majesty's navy; I am telling you to turn your boat 10 degrees north."

Boat 2 flashed back immediately: "And I am a seaman 2nd class. And I am telling you to turn your boat 10 degrees south."

By this time, the admiral was furious. He flashed back: "I repeat! I am an admiral in her majesty's navy and I am commanding you to turn your boat 10 degrees north. I am in a battleship!"

And the second boat returned a signal that said: "And I am commanding you to turn your boat 10 degrees south. I am in a lighthouse."

Point: Rank, titles and positions are no substitute for leadership....

Papal Tiara of Paul VI – the Last Italian Pope *

Like everything else in a changing world, the objects that once displayed power and might are now doorstops in our temporary trash recycle culture.
One such object is the Last Tiara, of the centuries old symbol of Roman usurpation of power, in the form of the triple crown of popes.  The above Tiara was used to crown Pope Paul VI in 1963.
Paul VI was the last Italian pope *, discounting of course the very short 33 day reign ended by the murder of John Paul I by Bankers and Mafia Dons, banking customers?, not satisfied with the Vatican’s banking services etc. Couldn’t they just return the toaster to the bank and close their accounts? Geez.
Well anyway, the crown is currently in the Pilgrimage Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC.
I saw this object when it was doing a national tour for charity in the late sixties. Paul VI gave up his crown to feed the poor.  What sick twisted logic and thinking back then in the church during and after Vatican II.  Mama mia.
I saw the object in the lobby of a bank in downtown Philly at the SW corner of Broad and Chestnut Streets, the Wall Street type financial center of Philly in its day.
I see on Google Maps that that bank lobby is now selling music DVDs and Video Games and across the street the one time main branch of the Girard Trust Company, a marble replica of the Pantheon in Rome, which is now a mere entrance way and lobby of a five star hotel.  Talk about the current disposable trash culture.  Must be getting old or something.
When I saw Paul VI’s tiara I was young and still a catholic.  I took some photos and showed them to my uber-Catholic aunts and uncles and their response was something I will always remember. That as Irish Catholics there was a pope, in a holy card, but I-talians, on a personal level and personal prejudice level, were another matter altogether.  Whatever.
With the arrival of the Global Media Rock Star Pope John Paul II and his private political agenda in Poland and his “reform of the reform”, turning back the clock to the middle ages to forget Vatican II, this last crown of the last Italian pope is no doubt just another cash cow relic to fleece the pilgrims in the Washington shrine.  Vials of the real Blood of Christ relics down the next aisle for your shopping consumerism pleasure. LOL
The crown BTW sat on the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome during the last sessions of Vatican II during the early reign of Paul VI.  No doubt besides relic status, the papal tiara has trophy status of sorts to the Neocons, Satanists, Masons, Bankers now in control of the Roman Catholic Church in Rome.
Have a nice day.

Statute of Limitation Loophole May Finally Bring USCCB Treasurer Bishop Bransfield to Justice for Sexual Misconduct

Apparently, Bishop Bransfield’s, of Wheeling WVA, name got mentioned in the Monsignor Lynn trial in Philly and having the bishop as the center of accusations of sexual misconduct in conjunction with another miscreant friend priest (guilt by association?).

Bransfield crossed the state line of Pennsylvania in 1980 when he went to work at the USCCB parish church, the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC. The Pennsylvania statute of limitation on the accusations against Bransfield froze in 1980.

Don’t hold your breath on justice though.  It is Montgomery County where White, Relublican and Catholic are synonyms.  The original accusations from 2007 against Bransfield got lost in e-mails in the County Prosecutor’s office there just like similar charges of evil got lost in the Sandusky Paterno Pedo State Cover Up.  Democrats may not be less perverted than Republicans but the Republicans can sure cover it up better in Pennsylvania.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20120708_Review_of_2007_allegation_a_W_Va__bishop_had_fondled_a_Montco_student.html?c=r
Bransfield has been the leader of the Wheeling-Charleston Diocese since 2005 and an elected treasurer for the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops. Before that, he spent more than two decades working at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington and rose to become its rector, a prominent post within church circles.A nephew, Sean Bransfield, is a vice chancellor for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Another relative, Msgr. J. Brian Bransfield, is a ranking officer at the U.S. bishops' conference.
Michael Bransfield had never been publicly accused of misconduct until his name emerged during the trial for Msgr. William J. Lynn and the Rev. James J. Brennan. Two men testified that they talked to or saw Bransfield during years they were serially raped and molested by one of his friends and seminary classmates, Stanley Gana. One of the witnesses said Gana regularly put him on the phone with Bransfield when Gana was serially abusing him in the 1980s. During one phone call, he said, Bransfield told him: "I'm going to have Stanley put you on a train and come down and see me sometime."
The second witness reported seeing Bransfield driving a carload of adolescent boys near a farm Gana owned in Northeast Pennsylvania.
"They're his fair-haired boys," Gana allegedly told the teen as Bransfield drove away. "The one in the front seat he is having sex with."
Prosecutors in the case also took aim at Bransfield after a priest from his diocese unexpectedly resisted a subpoena to testify at the trial. In the sidebar conference, Blessington told the judge that he believed Bransfield was behind the delay.
