George Washington –Typical Lazy White Farmer - Living Off the Welfare of His Slaves

I am amazed how it took George Washington and 2,000 slaves on his plantation to make a comfortable middle class living for himself and his wife and her two brats from a previous marriage.

The History Channel shows how George raised sheep for wool and had an untaxed by the gubmint, largest whiskey still in America and as if he did all the dirty grunt work to eek out a comfortable living for his lazy white ass and his lazy white wife and lazy white children. Mansion (Plantation) trash.

The adage about how slaves, blacks, African Americans are so lazy over the centuries covers the truth of from 1620 onward of the lazy white fucks of Virginia and the South and parts North who all lived on the sweat, pain and agony of the black man, woman and their children and children's children.

As for being a good general, Washington was too lazy and or just too white (wink, nod) to surrender to the British. Too dumb to know when he lost?

And most importantly of all did not want to pay his bills in London for all the luxury items exported to Mount Vernon. Deadbeat founding father.

And too lazy to work - living on the welfare of his slaves.

Slavery Entitlement Month in Virginia

April is Slavery Entitlement Month in Virginia. So proclaimed by the Governor Ronald McDonald ? – Robert McDonnell there. Actually it is not about Slave Entitlement to the Plantation Owners who were traitors to the United States for something like four and one half years 1861-1865. It is Confederate History Month???

In line with some tourist magnet historic date in the next year or two, Virginia needs to save Civil War Battlefields that keep in the name of free market capitalism (bow your Head) becoming industrial parks and shopping malls. If you cannot make hallowed ground the battlefieds of that traitor’s war, then maybe you can Disney-fy reality about the horrors of a war that killed six hundred thousand Americans on both sides of that tragic disagreement.
The two previous Democratic governors had refused to issue the mostly symbolic proclamation honoring the soldiers who fought for the South in the Civil War. McDonnell (R) revived a practice started by Republican governor George Allen in 1997. McDonnell left out anti-slavery language that Allen's successor, James S. Gilmore III (R), had included in his proclamation. WASHINGTON POST
Honoring the soldiers who fought for the south? What about the soldiers that were guilty of war crimes. My great grandfather was a POW in a shithole of a POW camp in Virginia after he helped Sherman liberate Georgia. Oral history in my family speaks of starvation, beatings and torture. Are we honoring the men who did that Governor McDonnell?

No doubt both sides did that, the war crimes thing. They had to do that because Robert E. Lee turned down Lincoln’s offer of General the Armies of the North. Had Robert E. Lee been a man of conscience and taken that job, perhaps half a million Americans would not have died and the Civil War would have lasted less than a year. Instead he had to fight for southern honor, the approval of his country club, plantation slave owning peers.

His effigy above near his grave is spread out like that of a dead king in Westminster Abbey in London. Indeed his ambitions to be a king were dashed with the loss of the south. He was married to the step-great granddaughter of George Washington.

Washington was a true man of both honor and conscience who refused to become king or sieze power in his day. Washington also freed his slaves in his last will and testament. Washington saw the future and did not want to be judged on the wrong side of moral history.

Perhaps Lee’s imcompetant entitled blood royal line and role as head of the Southern Army is what made his family so dysfunctional. None of his four daughters married and ony two of his three sons had any children. But that is another story.

It was indeed fitting that Lincoln decided to bury the dead of that war in the front yard of Lee's Plantation, present day Arlington National Cemetery.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda month in Virginia. Virginia used to be for lovers. I will avoid it in any further travels through the south. I will wait to pee at the gas station in North Carolina.

Nostalgia for the wrong things, for delusional glory in the past is not a healthy thing. Enjoy Confederate Fantasy month in Virginia.

The Bush Cheney Inquisition

One mans’s torture is another man’s pleasure???

There is a lot of vetting going on now in the media and the Congress about that torture thingy. Sean Hannity of FOX News has volunteered to be water boarded for charity to show that the near drowning experience is not torture but a frat house prank kind of thing. Keith Olbermann of MSNBC has offered $1,000 a second for every second that Sean does this easy frat house thing for charity. Poor Keith is going to spend a fortune on Sean who will proving that he is no pussy. Good fun for TV, the media circus and ratings.

Water boarding as torture goes back to the Spanish Inquisition which came into place over five centuries ago to weed out heretics but in reality it was a ethnic cleansing tool to get rid of Jews and Muslims from Spain who had been in Spain for centuries.

If you cannot get a modern day picture in your head about this Inquisition or torture thing I suggest the movie “Goya’s Ghosts” which shows torture and the Inquisition of about two centuries ago. Yes heretics were still being rounded up and tortured up to 1834 in Catholic Spain. Natalie Portman’s character in the movie gets caught up in Church politics and torture just because of her not liking a particular dish in a restaurant. No more plot give away here. See the movie. Splendid period piece against the backdrop of the Napoleonic Wars in Spain (Global Politics circa 1800 AD).

Goya's Ghosts

Getting back to people like Condelezza Rice, selling her soul to get ahead in life but as National Security Advisor signing off on torture before attorney Jay Bybee had even pulled out his crayons at DOJ to write his legal opinion on the subject to give legal credence to - well it’s a long story.

As I said earlier, if men and women of good conscience were trying to defend this county in an emergency situation they, the former regime and its defenders, would not be acting like such inbred idiots and a bunch of tossers about this current tempest in a teapot?

If we are a nation of laws, a so-called “Christian country”, we can live without torture as a modus operandi of our mantra and national identity.

Throughout this so called debate going on now about torture picture this – George Washington did not need torture to win the Revolution.

Bush and Cheney, two natural born bullies, did need torture to justify the illegal invasion of Iraq for fun and profit.

See the movie Goya’s Ghosts. Get some perspective on this current topic.

Be well – and don’t be tortured.
