Talking to a audience of well healed Catholic White People at DeSales University just outside Allentown Pa, Donohue pandered his standard fare of coded hate to the African American President Obama to tremendous applause.

It should be remembered that the people who can afford tuition to private elite Catholic colleges are the people zygoted, bred, wed and dead in the affluent burbs and seek that their’s is the only point of view possible in the best of all possible pampered trust funded worlds.

Apparently the Secularists have a secularist university and or academy or old Bill is in his usual blacked out state on his way from Rosey O’Grady’s Saloon in midtown Manhattan. The reference to “Academy” below is I think purely Donohue-style Delusional.

"It's undeniably true that the administration as a whole is not Catholic-friendly," Donahue said. "They are die-hard secularists. I think [Obama] is a secularist like so many people where he came from, the academy."

Of course there were rounds of applause in the sea of white faces regarding women not having the right to an abortion, a medical procedure, in places like Mississippi and North Dakota etc.

"I think we're winning on abortion but the [same-sex] marriage issue is much more difficult,"

The American Catholic Church has already missed the boat completely on the equal marriage civil rights thing. 

But then equal marriage rights will be a direct challenge to the need for celibacy in the their Catholic clergy ranks which have for centuries been the place to put your odd son in the family in a safe lifetime meal ticket job, just like Bill's job. If your odd son or daughter (gay) can marry and make a life for himself or herself outside of the Church, who needs the church in this new modern day sexual equation. Two's company, three is a crowd.

But I think the real heart of the American Catholic coded mission statement and its commitment to the political right is to the abolition of the U.S. Constitution and comes in Bill Donohue’s remark:

"I don't want to dialogue. I want to win."

The Sterile Nature of Sexxxuality Officially Sanctioned by the Teachings of the Vatican Catholic Church Cult

Sex is or is not sex depending on the situation. I consider sex itself something of a body function thing in most cases to be quite frank.

Mixing it with morality is really just confusing it with possible legal matters and not moral matters especially when it comes to the traditional Hebrew commandments concerning property, i.e. adultery, coveting your neighbor’s property, wife, chattel etc.

There was a time when celibacy meant chastity. That it got imposed on the clergy in the eleventh century to curb the unchecked gayness of the pope and his courtiers in the Vatican.

The thing to keep it in your pants for the gay priests and cardinals raised a great jealousy against the heterosexual priests that were allowed to still marry and practice openly their kind of sexuality. Celibacy then became to mean "not-married" (not allowed to marry and keeping it in your pants optional).

It must have been a great relief to sweep all things sexual into the “other” miscellaneous column of life when the RC Church stopped talking about real sex or dealing with it around the year 1050 C.E..

About the same time, you have a major schism between the Roman Church and the Orthodox Church, over who is the really real successor of Peter bullshit fight going on between Rome and Constantinople.

And shortly thereafter of this sexual mess, sexual mistake of “celibacy” you have the Crusades because to make the economics of this whole mess relevant, Rome no longer could get coffee so to speak or some other real time commodities of that age from the middle east and Constantinople was no longer a friendly trading partner, middle man, with the West because of the Schism.

Quite a mess, sexual, religious and economic, not to mention how dangerous it suddenly got to be living in Jerusalem.

Fast forward a thousand years. Benedict XVI, and he needs to hide from prosecutors in European and American Courts and will now wall himself up in a “Nunnery” and pray and contemplate getting arrested for crimes against humanity, mostly children in the humanity equation but also the money laundering thing at the Vatican Bank making the modern world, as part of Satan’s “modernism” the one true enemy at the gates of Vatican City.

I have some creepy reactions to Benedict XVI’s so called retirement. Day by the day the official press releases unravel into things that do not quite make sense to me.

For example, One is that they, the media, the Vatican Press Office said that he was retiring to a cloistered convent which is all well and good.  But the nuns left at the end of November in order to facilitate the reconstruction of the convent to turn the nunnery into a sexy bachelor pad for the retiring Joe the Pope as I am fond of calling him. Will the nuns return to cook his meals, clean his house and change his Depends when construction ends?

That and the nature of this Mater Ecclesiae nunnery founded in 1994 by John Paul II is to pray non-stop for the pope and the cardinals running the Vatican. Hardly a Chantry, whereby a trust fund is set up for eternal masses to be said by a priest presumably for a king at a dedicated altar somewhere in the former king’s cathedral etc., a practice, an abuse that disappeared during and after the Reformation, the trust fund being too easily looted both by the Catholics and Protestants on that matter.

The whole purpose of these nuns is to serve God by doing a 24/7/365 praying for dicks like John Paul II and Benedict XVI that need hundreds and thousands of nuns in reality to pray for their souls, if you believe in the power of prayer, considering the amount of damage these two very ambitious church men have done collectively to the fabric of the Roman Catholic Infrastructure but more importantly the damage they did and have done and continue to do to the psyche of the true church, the People of God. Bummer!

I am also imagining that Benedict’s hideout is in plain sight at the Vatican, besides to exercise a Mafia Don’s Diplomatic Immunity to crimes, with an imprimatur from Benito Mussolini, I think that maybe Benedict wants to keep an eye on the Bureaucrats to make certain that above all, sexual and other forms of blackmail continue to rule the basis of the Vatican Cult thing. Brotherhood is a good thing but a gun to one’s head is a better persuader to keep the old gang in line and not have any rats turning state’s evidence etc.

I am also half imaging that certain observation spots on the roof of St. Peter’s will now have live webcams and give a select few in the hierarchy 24/7 views of Benedict’s roof garden on top of his “nunnery”.

No doubt the topic of chit chat among chief honcho bureaucrats in red on a daily basis will be “Did you see him today?” “How did he look?” “How long before he takes his secrets to the grave…?” Etc.

Getting back to the sterile nature of sex as envisioned in the confused sexual nature of the Vatican HQ Cult. Add to this mixture, Benedict is taking his boy toy into retirement with him.

Monsignor, house boy, Archbishop Georg Ganswein, the private secretary will not get some assignment in Regensberg etc. or at least not by this pope. He will no doubt continue to be the eyes and ears of Benedict to the rest of the world until Josef Ratzinger’s demise. Is Benedict his ball and chain or is he Benedict’s ball and chain? LOL

And of course the relationship of Joe to Georg is platonic. Is of a possible father son thing since neither is sexual but "celibate"?

Nothing terribly wrong in the sterile non-sexual connotation of the whole thing. Throughout history sterile men in childless marriages have courted father son relationships with other men.

I am thinking of Augustus and Tiberius, George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, Napoleon with a few of his young hunky generals and of course Adolph Hitler and Albert Speer.

Oh well. Whatever.

St. Mary’s School in Platteville Wisconsin – a Valuable Lesson in Humility?

You can sometimes judge a story by the way the local press deals with a story as in the case of St. Mary’s School in Platteville Wisconsin which I believe is now closed.  I say the local press has not gone much beyond the handed out press releases or public letters of Bishop Morlino of Madison Wisconsin, Paul Ryan’s local bishop, because there are no good visuals or images of St. Mary’s available on the Internet.

The skinny and or gossip is that Bishop Morlino imported some nice looking white boy priests from Spain, some sort of Jesuits to man the factory floor, mass factories in his diocese.  Looking at a diocese site there they actually have pictures of the clergy there and the parish listing and a limited work history.  Kind of like an Internet dating or religious meat rack.  I guess you want to see what color the priest is in the local Catholic church before you set foot in.  Want you to feel all comfortable in your warm comfort zones and prejudices. 

Well the skinny on the skinny of that is that I only count one or two dark faces and the rest of the priests of Madison County Diocese are white even if they have Hispanic and or Spanish sounding names.  It’s the visual that Madison Avenue has us trained on these past decades.

I have read about South Asian Priests and African Priests being imported to places like the Allentown diocese. I have to wonder if the mail order catalogues the bishops get their priests overseas from have their pictures posted or maybe the importation fees listed next to the pictures is a more important consideration, the money that is and not the look, on that in every diocese devoid of native son priests.

That is why celibacy is not an issue with the locals RC bishops. Priests are an interchangeable part even if you can’t decipher their fractured English or strange outlooks on life based on their native cultures. Celibacy is not an issue.  If Americans don’t want to be priests, plenty of starving third world types to fill in the personnel gaps.

With St. Mary’s they say that the imported priests would have none of the altar girls in the sanctuary thing. The cultural preferences or prejudices of the Spanish culture get put under labels or categories like Conservative Catholics? Etc.

The people in the pews rebelled and voted with their pocket books, even signed a petition to the bishop and the Bishop’s response was a typical these days in America – Fuck You.

The dissenters at St. Mary’s get threatened with excommunication or something close to it – “interdict” – and Paul Ryan gets a free pass on his temporary masturbation love, flirtation with Ayn Rand atheism.

No money. They close the school. The respect the landlord, the bishop, the guy with the deed gets goes a lot to do with the bishop’s generosity in extending financial help to keep a school open. 

No respect, no kissing of Morlino’s stinky toes and the local Catholics in Platteville Wisconsin are taught a valuable lesson about Christ – the golden rule – they that have the gold make the rules.

Bishop Lori’s Pagan Fortnight for Freedom Festivities Commence – (bonfires, s'mores, burning crosses?)

Starting today, within the twenty-four hour threshold of the Summer Solstice, a millennial old Pagan Holiday, the Bishops of the U.S., USCCB, are sponsoring a Fortnight of Religious Freedom (Bund) activities.

One has to wonder why holidays and important events in the RCC seem to always be secretly linked to Ancient Pagan Festivals.

No doubt the education of potential novitiates standing around pagan bonfires of the latest Stealth Hate Festival against “that Negro in the White House” will have a moderate amount of success to reinforce the base racial fear instincts of many dumbed down A-mericans.

What the pure Catholics do in the dark after these night time rallies and activities is anybody’s guess.

Most pure Pagan post-holiday festival activities, connected to bonfires and alignments of the Moon and Sun, have to do with some real time fucking (with condoms aka contraception).

Deadbeat Cardinal Dolan Hid Assets with the Dead in Cemetery Trust

This is all old stuff and perhaps sour grapes and probably a federal crime if you could find a prosecutor with the balls, using R.I.C.O. laws, to challenge the creative bookkeeping of Timmy Dolan to hide assets with the dead in order to cheat child abuse victims out of just compensation for their suffering and ordeal of having been victims of the RCC's delusional (not of Jesus) Celibacy Sexual Mask practice.

Referring to the transcript, Ruhl told NCR: “When Marek says, ‘We don’t own the trust’, I would ask: Then why does the trust appear as an asset on the archdiocesan balance sheet? The definition of an asset is something that provides future economic benefit. When the archdiocese classified the [cemetery] trust account on their balance sheet as an asset, they acknowledged that the trust provides future benefit. The things we laypeople call assets -- our homes, cars, investment funds -- means that we own them, and to say otherwise in this case is misleading.”

On the 2007 archdiocesan balance sheet, Ruhl explained, the asset account with the largest balance, at $59.9 million, has a specific title: “Assets designated for future care of cemeteries and mausoleums, primarily cash and investments.”

In contrast, the 2007 balance sheet shows an asset account called “Beneficial Interest in Cemetery Perpetual Care Trust” with a zero balance.

“In other words, they zeroed out one account and transferred most of the funds to a new account,” Ruhl explained. “From an accounting standpoint, all Dolan did was rename the assets. It was a shell game.”

Why Catholicism Does Not Matter – The Growing Vatican Meltdown

The embarrassing end of Christianity also known as Catholicism is melting down around its potentate idol king in the city of Rome.

One recent rumor coming out of damage control central, Cardinal Bertone’s office, is the banning of all mobile cell phones in the Magic Kingdom and their ability to photograph documents and record conversations and sex sessions among the “celibate” clergy of the Vatican.  


Who needs the Swiss Guards to protect dirty little sex trafficking secrets anymore?  Quite impossible anyway in the age of Internet.


Blackmail and promotions among closeted Vatican clergy is in great question in this modern technical age, like at no other time in the history.

Marriage equality however will empty the Catholic Church of it closeted gay clergy in the next decade.  The truth will set you free and Catholic free as well.

That is why Catholicism Does Not Matter. 

It is based on an obsolete labor force much the same as the antebellum South’s economy was based on the obsolete and inefficient labor force of slaves. 

Christianity will evolve back along the path that Jesus envisioned and will no longer stray along any roads falsely leading to Rome.

War on Humanity, War on Modernity Continues

The War on Women or the War on Gays via marriage equality boils down to a War on Intelligence and or a War on Modernity.  Parts of the Christian church, the RCs, have been at war with the secular western world for the past two hundred years since Napoleon.

There are blind spot words and concepts floating around the ether via the MSM and they match the blind spot ignorance of Mormons like Romney, Fundamentalists like Palin or Crusaders like Santorum.

But the biggest blind spot words and concepts these days have to do with sexuality.

The War on most everything in the media these days boils down to the RC church’s ignorance of definitions of sex that do not fit modern standards or modern definitions.

Child abuse, clergy abuse has to do with the inability of a global institution’s inability to understand sex.

To this institution, everything within a heterosexual Catholic marriage and dealing with procreative sex is the only definition of sex.

That if the church wants, as in recent months and years, wants to blame homosexuality for clergy abuse, it is only mouthing a modern word invented by the Victorians that catalogued a sexual venue, but did little to further explain it.

That everything sexual outside of Catholic marriage is not defined in pre-nineteenth century terms.  Sexuality is a sin outside of marriage.  Everything else, fornication, sodomy, masturbation, pedophilia is merely some sin that must be confessed and absolved – it does not have to be understood.

This march toward the past in terms of a NOM world that can only understand sexuality in marriage and no place else is a shill for organized religion, that still in the twentieth-first century, remains clueless on all things sexual.

They are supposed to start a big clergy abuse trial in Philly today.  This whole mess is a very tragic comedy of sexual errors by a clerical bureaucracy that did not, has not tried to understand sexuality since the Great Schism in 1054 C.E..

That when Rome created celibacy, it was part of a total ban on sexuality.  That the majority homosexual clergy and their excesses were supposed to become chaste and stop the sex thing, like human nature as part of natural law, like gravity, could stop on a papal decree.  That misery from the pope on down and abstaining from gay sex demanded that the heterosexual clergy should not enjoy sex either, thus the band-aid blind spot word/concept associated with sex and the word celibate.

Little wonder world war or the Crusades started as a diversion soon after as a result of this grand sexual dysfunction as a result of this new f---ed up official front office mission statement of reality.

That whenever any Christian official or their ex-Pennsylvania Senator type stooges these days are using any term sexual, they are in the past, the pre-modern world in thought and understanding of the subject.

They are mimicking the language.  They are clueless. Beware.

That the War on Women and the War on Marriage Equality is an attempt to dumb the modern world back to the stopped Church calendar of 1799 C.E..

Who will win next year’s national election? Adams, Hamilton, Jefferson or Burr?

Ex-Bishop Gabino Zavala of Los Angeles could not afford to support a wife and kids as a priest.  He apparently had to wait until 1994 when they made him an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, home of $660 million dollar child abuse settlements and $200 million dollar cathedrals with underground parking and mausoleums. 

Life in La La Land.  Only in America.

Gabino had to wait until 1994 in order to support a mistress and two teenage kids on a Bishop’s salary.  Archbishop Tim Dolan of New York makes $29,000 per year.  The L.A. archdiocese has emphasized that church funds were not involved in this bishop constantly commuting to his out of state family.  Boy, those airline mileage points really add up. Don't they? 

Could he secretly have been married in Las Vegas? What happens there, stays there?

No sweat.  Zavala can now openly marry, convert to the Episcopalians and rejoin the Roman Catholic Priesthood as a renegade Anglican and still be married.  B16’s raid on the Anglicans is just so Christian etc.  

Why is that married RC Episcopalians don’t have to be celibate???

100 Italian Priests Blackmailed In Internet Sex Ring

Up to 100 priests in Italy were blackmailed by two men who used Facebook and Messenger to snare them, according to a police investigation. The men, who were arrested on suspicion of blackmail on 26 July, demanded up to €10,000 (£8,000) from priests in return for keeping quiet about erotic webcam sessions and real sexual encounters, reported Italian weekly Panorama citing judicial sources… 

The priest paid Trementino regular sums of money and bought him a car but eventually reported him to the police. 

In the meantime, Trementino said a second priest contacted him through Facebook and invited him to spend three days in a hotel in Rome with him, offering him a train fare and €300 to buy cannabis, alcohol and condoms. 

Trementino claims he then began to receive requests for erotic webcam sessions from "tens" of priests. He added: "I would get up to five requests per day from all over Italy, even one from France. I felt I had ended up in a net of perversion."

Having seen firsthand the dark and shady nature of business in both the Mortgage and Brokerage businesses I have to concede that it is a breath of fresh air that accompanies the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) indictment of Goldman Sachs.

Goldman Sachs packaged shit as securities and then sold the “securities” to their best customers and then took out insurance on the shit already planned to fail in the mortgage business. It says a lot about the moral state of the money changers and money lenders in our midst in our day.

In an appropriate metaphor to explain the current indictment at Goldman Sachs:

Described another way, Paulson handpicked sick, diseased pigs to be made into sausage, then bet millions that the resulting sausage would make people sick. Goldman, for its part, made the poisoned sausage (and got paid), sold that sausage to its own unwitting customers (and got paid again), and. like Paulson, bet millions that those customers would get sick (and got paid yet again).

It says a lot about how criminal cartels whether they be drug lords in Columbia or Wall Street executives or even bishops of holy mother Church.

The words “criminal cartel” came to mind with the reading of this article below about how a Vatican bureaucrat Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos sent a letter of praise to a French Bishop for his harboring and hiding a priest rapist from the wrath of the public and civil law. Cardinal Hoyos had also orchestrated the return of the Piux X cult last year, tricked another cardinal into signing off on it. You remember Richard Williamson, the rabid anit-Semitic bishop of that cult?

The Sept. 8, 2001 letter from Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos, then the head of the Vatican office in charge of priests, praised bishop Pierre Pican for risking prison time to defend the Rev. Rene Bissey.

French Catholic publication Golias published a copy of the letter on March 30. The Vatican has faced accusations of secrecy that allowed priests to rape and molest children unchecked for decades.

Of course after 2001, that bureaucracy no longer had charge of priests and priests issues such as buggery. That the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith (for centuries called the Office of the Inquisition) under Cardinal Ratzinger could and did change the pro-priest, anti-people corporate culture in a snap of his fingers. Yeah right.

It does takes time for large corporations to change a corporate culture. It takes years, perhaps decades, and not mere months to change centuries old secret hidden traditions attached to celibacy and the like. I say hidden in that denial of a problem and its constant cover-up for centuries is an embedded problem when brought to light in a modern age of human rights and enlightenment.

Which bring me to another article that when I read it I was struck by the thought of how the RC corporation was able to shift pedo-priests all over the globe and back again.

That with hundreds of priests helped in their escape from civil justice for crimes against children that there must be some central inquiry board within the Vatican to advise where there is a desperate need for priests in the various parishes of the planet. If not that, then there must some paid consultants that for a fee will advise a bishop as to where to apply for the export of troublesome priests out of their diocese.

In any case, the advice recently of the pope for Christians to pray for repentance of their sins in reference to this pedo-scandal of its pedo- priests and pedo-protecting bishops, why do I have to pray for the pope’s and his crony bishops’ many, many, many sins?

The Sacred and the Obscene

I am old enough to remember when Richard Nixon stonewalled the federal prosecutors and the press over his crimes committed in the Watergate Scandal.

Having recently seen the movie Frost/Nixon, you see that Nixon said something to the effect that anything a President does is not a crime - The Nixon Defense so to speak. Nixon in the role of American King Richard I was a tragic figure worthy of a Shakespearian play.

As I see this VaticanGate sex abuse scandal unfolding at the feet of Benedict XVI, I cannot but help see similarities in the major hubris with which kings treat their crimes against the state and humanity. Benedict is stonewalling. He is running out the clock of his papacy because as a man of his age, he does not have much longer to endure or having to keep the modern world from his Ivory Tower world of fantasy and religion.

Only now — a year after the Italian case became public — is the Vatican directing the diocese to interview the victims to hear their testimony about the accusations, The Associated Press learned Thursday.

The two cases are the latest in a burgeoning abuse scandal on both sides of the Atlantic that now threatens to tarnish the papacy itself. The office charged with disciplining clergy was long led by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, and a church prosecution in the Wisconsin case was stopped after an appeal to Ratzinger.

On Friday, The New York Times reported that the future pope was kept more closely apprised of a German priest's sex abuse case in 1980 than previous church statements have suggested.

The case of the German priest, the Rev. Peter Hullermann, has acquired fresh relevance because it unfolded at a time when Cardinal Ratzinger, who was later put in charge of handling thousands of abuse cases on behalf of the Vatican, was in a position to refer the priest for prosecution, or at least to stop him from coming into contact with children, the Times said.

Cardinal Ratzinger was copied on a memo that told him that a priest, whom he had approved sending to therapy in 1980 to overcome pedophilia, would return to pastoral work within days of beginning psychiatric treatment, the Times said. The priest was later convicted of molesting boys in another German parish.

Priest 'abuse victims' speak out

Three deaf men who say they were repeatedly abused by priests as children have confronted an Italian church diocese about why it has not punished their abusers, saying they want justice.

The three men appeared on a prime-time talk show on Italy's state-run RAI TV, squaring off with the spokesman of the Verona diocese amid a swirling global sex abuse scandal that has inched closer to Pope Benedict XVI.

The spokesman, the Rev Bruno Fasani, said he hoped the confrontation would be constructive and he welcomed meeting the men for the first time.

But the former students of Verona's Antonio Provolo Institute for the Deaf refused to shake his hand during the show. One of the three, Dario Laiti, 59, said he couldn't bring himself to greet the prelate. …

Advocates for the victims, however, said the diocese investigation was fatally flawed because no one interviewed the former students.

The pope’s handling of German matters perhaps triggered a matter whereby the Vatican guy Joe Ratzinger squashed an investigation of an American priest that abused over two hundred deaf children in an institution of the deaf for many decades in the Milwaukee diocese.

The deaf in Italy are now talking out – out of frustration of not being heard – after the statutes of limitations have passed. The victims want closure and not forgiveness for their sin of tempting good priests to sin – or at least that is the medieval view from the Vatican on all this fuss about the mere abuse of children at the expense of the church’s prestige and “good” name.

Joe Ratzinger was the best of the best that John Paul II could put in charge of keeping the lid on this worldwide, decades - centuries long secret obscene behavior of the clergy.

Joe Ratzinger, the best of the best, has turned out quite mediocre and flat in light of victims who do not want a sacred letter of apology but instead want secular, human justice.

In the wake of child abuse disclosures unfolding across Europe, Archbishop Christoph Cardinal Schonborn of Vienna is quoted in writing and makes a link between the RC church’s practice of Celibacy and Pedophilia.

The Archbishop of Vienna today said priestly celibacy could be one of the causes of the sex abuse scandals to hit the Catholic church.

In an article for Thema Kirche, his diocesan magazine, Christoph Schonborn became the most senior figure in the Catholic hierarchy to make the connection between the two and called for an "unflinching examination" of the possible reasons for paedophilia.

Another article by Italian journalist Lucetta Scaraffia in the "semi-official" Vatican’s L'Osservatore Romano newspaper is making comment on the lack of females in the Vatican as a social force to break down the predominately all male culture and the mafia like code of silence surrounding the ongoing and seemingly never ending abuse issue.

Writing in L'Osservatore Romano, Lucetta Scaraffia said women might have helped remove the "veil of secrecy" surrounding the abuse.

(He) used the word "omerta" – the Mafia code of silence – to describe the conspiracy involved in hiding the offences.

"We can hypothesise that a greater female presence, not at a subordinate level, would have been able to rip the veil of masculine secrecy that in the past often covered the denunciation of these misdeeds with silence," she said.

"Women, in fact, both religious and lay, by nature would have been more likely to defend young people in cases of sexual abuse, allowing the church to avoid the grave damage brought by these sinful acts."

That Celibacy Thing - Part Three

For Pope Benedict XVI it is perhaps shame that has finally caused an action. This “sexual” abomination thing has gone on too long. The shame like road kill has to be swept away or at least some of it.

Vatican to investigate scandalized religious order

Pope Benedict XVI has taken the extraordinary step of ordering a Vatican investigation of the Legionaries of Christ, the influential, conservative religious order that has acknowledged that its founder fathered a child and molested seminarians.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the No. 2 man in the Vatican, said church leaders will visit and evaluate all seminaries, schools and other institutions run by the Legion worldwide.

Bertone, the Vatican secretary of state, said in a statement made public Tuesday that the Vatican was stepping in "so that with truth and transparency, in a climate of fraternal and constructive dialogue, you will overcome the present difficulties."

The Legion revealed in February that its founder, the Rev. Marcial Maciel of Mexico, had fathered a daughter who is now in her 20s and lives in Spain. Maciel died in 2008 at age 87.

The disclosure caused turmoil inside the religious order and its lay affiliate, Regnum Christi. The groups teach that Maciel was a hero whose life should be studied and emulated.

The news also raised many questions — from the order's critics and defenders alike — that the Legion still hasn't publicly answered, about whether any current leaders covered up Maciel's misdeeds and whether any donations were used to facilitate the misconduct or pay victims.

It is a little over a year since one of John Paul II's major groupies has died. No doubt the probate estate thing for his daughter has cleared the probate courts and the inner circle of his heinous, obscene "Openis Dei" organization has burned all possible relevant records.

Celibacy rakes in the money on top – low overhead with the worker religious bees and no family healthcare plans to fund. More walkin around money for the Rock Stars in charge of the Show.

It is perhaps ashamed that he died after John Paul II instead of before. Otherwise I suspect that Father Marcial Maciel would be on a fast track to sainthood and a retired Cardinal Ratzinger might even be encouraged to come out of retirement as a favor to Pope Rockstar to sanitize and present the right paperwork to present his petition for sainthood to the proper Vatican agency.

Success and money and power opens doors and also closes them on crimes against humanity. But who am I to judge? I can still hear a fem gasp from this past February when it was disclosed that the dead saint had fathered a daughter. You can bugger a hundred boys in the RC church and that is OK but did he really put his dick in one of those things (vaginas) and more than once?! Gasp! Yuck!

Celibacy (chastity?) is for the street priests who believe all that Christ stuff. People on the top – the alpha male fascist types live by a separate set of rules. No bureaucrat in his right mind would challenge Marcial Maciel in his prime and jeopardize a career or a pension.

Probate is probably over and it time to move on and start evaluating the property values of a religious order doomed to hopeful extinction. Hardly a brave or a dramatic move in spite of Vatican PR to the contrary

So now that probate is probably cleared, they are opening up his tomb so to speak to move the bones into an ossuary. What a waste of relics. Could have been sold for a fortune.

Fascist pervert Marcial Maciel dies. Good.

Maciel, born in Michoacán 10 March 1920, was the founder of the Legions of Christ and Regnum Christi. The Legion is a religious congregation, Regnum Christi includes both priests and laymen. Both inculcate absolute, unquestioning fidelity to the ultimate leader (aka, Marcial Maciel) and to rat out any internal critics… sort of like Scientologists, or fascists.

The fascist tendencies in Marciel’s movements is reflected in their support for Franco’s Falangist Spain, and their later support for Mexican synarchism (and, the “confessional wing” of PAN). It’s no accident that Eric Prince, of Blackwater infamy, is one of the groups more enthusiastic backers.

Several Roman Catholic Bishops in the United States have thrown the Legion — and Regnum Christi out of their dioceses, mostly because they see the two Marciel organizations as a “parallel church” which discourages its members from contact with “normal” Catholics. Several bishops — and not just in the United States — have also been bothered by overt elitism in these groups, an attitude seen as reactionary to modern church leaders.

Marciel encouraged his followers to target the well-heeled and well-connected (again, like the Scientologists) — with the goal of influencing public policy. With their strict obedience to superiors, these “elites” were the natural allies of people like Franco and Pinochet, and — with their unquestioning fidelity to their Fuhrer, were perfect servants to the Fascists. In Mexico, the Regnum Christi movement took a very sinister turn a few years ago, turning into youth gangs that beat up minorities (indigenous peoples, Protestants, gays) in PANista strongholds like Aguascalientes.

Marciel a favorite of Augustin Pinochet and Imelda Marcos was … alas poor Mexico… coddled by Pope John-Paul II. The late pope brought Marciel along on his three Mexican tours, permitted the two groups expansion and… apparently… turned a blind eye to what exactly Marciel’s “unquestioning fidelity” meant.

As one commentator put it:

Marcial Maciel, was guilty of the sexual abuse of his seminarians, that he was/is addicted to a form of morphine called Dolantin (demerol, meperidine, isonipecaine, dolantol), and that he did indeed abuse his power to control all those beneath him in order to carry out his plans.

Told ya that John Paul II was a Rock Star and he had his groupies along on his tours – among them Saint Marcial Maciel and the boys. Sex. Drugs. Rock and Roll. Its good to be pope. (and celibate)

That Celibacy Thing - Part Two

Someone sent me an article about a help center for priests in New Mexico in the 1950’s run by a religious order. The center had been started as a treatment center for alcohol abuse and emotional problems. The facility eventually also treated priests involved with sex abuse with children.

The main point of the article was to illustrate how there was an awareness of this heinous crime back then, over half a century ago. Letters and discussions of the topic were circulating among the American church hierarchy. Recommendations, such as not putting a priest back in the setting where he could molest more children, never got made into any formal policy within the hierarchy of the American RC church.

Individual and ambitious bishops apparently did not want to take any meaningful first steps toward revolving this terrible situation. No bishop wants to tell the RC institution or the emperor that management had a problem that it could not solve. Nobody wanted to tell that Emperor that he was not wearing any clothes. Only a few good “yes men” need to apply for the position of bishop.

Catholic bishops warned in '50s on abusive priests

There was such a large volume of Catholics in those years of the 50’s that a few bad priests got unnoticed on the public side except if you knew the victim etc. The buck had to eventually stop somewhere - and the underlying issue is "celibacy".

Celibacy is not chastity. Celibacy is only an agreement not to marry - and not have legitimate heirs to claims deeds or church property etc. Considering all the legal hassles the church thought it would avoid with this medieval policy of celibacy, I think it may be cheaper in the long run to let priests marry and in a way eliminate some of the reason that these sick bastards, operating under an institutional blind eye, hit on children etc.

Celibacy, besides meaning both celibacy and chastity, no doubt is also a code word of sorts for protecting those who cannot control their sexual needs and appetites. Is it a code word for that “sex topic” thingy? Don’t touch! Bad mojo! Bad juju! How immature!

This passing the buck obviously went on for decades until the numbers in the ranks of the faithful thinned and individual crimes got more notice. This is I believe a worldwide phenomenon. It is only because it is so easy to sue people in the USA that this whole abuse thing spun out of control and fell into the public forum.

The issue(s) under the heading of “Celibacy” must be separated, dissected, discussed and possible solutions recommended and in an open forum of both hierarchy and laity. This RC Celibacy thing needs an intervention. The dysfunctional nature of this present RC corporate culture matter regarding sex interrupts, disrupts and interferes with the energy flow of Christ’s true mission statement for his church.

John Paul II formally dumped this American mess into Cardinal Ratzinger’s lap in 2002 when this American mess blew up in the press. Ratzinger doesn’t understand the scientific life saving benefits of condoms. Both as Cardinal and Pope, Ratzy has not dealt with the problem. It has been swept under the bumpy carpets in the papal apartment waiting for some other pontiff in some other decade to maturely deal with it.

God help the planet and protect us from all failed corporate CEOs!

That Celibacy Thing

There is this nagging question at the back of my brain every time I read the NT. This thing about celibacy is a stated or a verbal contract, a vow promising not to marry. If you are not married, you cannot have legitimate children. Your bastards will have no claim on your estate. Your estate as a priest will go to the church. Any property temporarily in your name as head of a parish will not get confused with your estate should you die in between the time the widow gives you a deed and you record it in the parish church’s name.

Legitimacy used to matter a lot especially with royalty and in the old days. These days with DNA testing, even if Pops is a priest, you go for the estate claim.

Celibacy is not chastity. Chastity is a promise or vow not to have sex. I know this might sound confusing to some. The whole celibacy issue on the public stage uses one word with two entirely different meanings. Rather than get too technical, and God forbid there be allowed any in depth questioning of the religious clerics on stage that might be there to answer questions, a muddled cross connotation of facts is represented by the upfront PR word "celibacy" to describe the whole idiotic RC church thing about religious sexual and taboo practices.

Celibacy is more a general rule thing for priests. It is more for the local diocese thing.

Chastity is more a religious group or religious order thing. If so many men are living together in a monastery, then the no sex rule would hopefully mean no practice of sodomy.

Part of the demise of great numbers of Catholics and Parishes since Vatican II has been first and foremost the dwindling number of men willing to give up a normal life and put on a cassock and play the celibate / no sex game.

They say that Jesus did not marry. They say Jesus was in fact married to Mary Magdalene. Peter the so called first pope was married and had many children. Even though there is this proselytizing thing in scripture from time to time to give up everything and go out on the road and drum up new business, this life time withdraw from life, living, sex and family is not properly presented in the cut and paste gospels that were assembled decades or even rewritten in some parts centuries after the life of Jesus.

Jesus was most likely an orthodox Jew. At an early age he probably was wed in a marriage arranged by his parents. Whether he stayed married was another issue. Divorce in his time was a frequent thing and not unlike the Islamic thing in a traditional sense.

In any case, while Jesus was on the road he did not want his mostly male followers to say that they could not go on the road because the kid was sick etc.

Jesus said that he came to fulfill the law. Marriage was not necessarily part of the law but the law encompassed every aspect of a daily Jewish life.

Celibacy is a later invention after Jesus. It probably comes from some Jewish or Hellenistic cult thing and definitely was not part of the law or traditions that Jesus came to fulfill.

Pieces of Dreams - Revisited

There is this movie Pieces of Dreams 1970 with Robert Forster. He plays a young priest who falls in love with Lauren Hutton. The movie is based on the book “The Wine and the Music” by William E Barrett who also wrote “Lilies of the Field” and the “Left Hand of God”.

The title of the movie shares the title of a Michel Legrand song “Pieces of Dreams” sung at the end of the film by the legendary Miss Peggy Lee. I never could find this song listed on any of Peggy’s records. It was I believe the best sung version ever of what is now considered a Michel Legrand classic. The next best singer on the planet for this song is Shirley Bassey.

Anyway, it was a small budget production and it did not have a lot of Hollywood polish. A lot of shots on location in New Mexico gave it a feeling which was not the standard Hollywood product in 1970. It is a good average watchable flick which I guess in today's terms you could say has what is called an independent production feeling to it in terms of originality and quality.

Forgive my Critique. These days everybody is a pundit or a critic. Perhaps it a substitute for a two way conversation on the Internet. I believe it did not have a large budget because in those days Hollywood never spent a lot on so called controversial films which in 1970 this film might have been categorized. Hollywood in its prime never made controversial movies though it did touch upon controversial subjects like Anti-Semitism as in Gentleman’s Agreement with Gregory Peck in 1947.

Hollywood made these much older limited audience appeal movies in black and white instead of color not expecting much of a return on investment.

There is a lot of soul searching in “Pieces of Dreams” by the main character Father Gergory Lind about what he wants, to be a servant of God or get laid etc.

In the framework of the time, Father Gregory Lind did not have many options. Many European priests would have just had Lauren Hutton on the side as a mistress and continued to give outward lip service to God and the Church.

This film touches in me some of the raw nerves that Vatican II left behind by ripping the scab off the Medieval Catholic church and shoving the wound briefly, very briefly, into the cleansing light of day.

There is a scene whereby Gregory visits his local bishop to be allowed to be released from his vows. The Bishop played beautifully by the veteran actor Will Geer appeals to Father Gregory Lind and says something, things like celibacy would change in time. I think back to that scene probably filmed forty years ago and the Vatican has still not delivered on changes that the laity would feel comfortable with like married priests.

The reason I remember these lines is because in the raw period after Vatican II when priests and nuns jumped ship in droves and the laity were still a little shell shocked, most of us accepted the concept that change in the Church was a good thing.

There was an unstated and undelivered promise about the celibacy thing to the laity back then - first the English Mass, then we will talk about other subjects. Back then nobody even thought of women as priests. Add that to a lot of items the laity thought were coming down the pike for putting up with John XXIII's opening up the windows and throwing the filled to the brim chamber pots of the Pius X Medievalists out the window. To this day the emergency group therapy sessions in the Vatican are about - No there were no babies thrown out - only chamber pots during Vatiican II.

Well anyway, the quid pro quo of the laity putting up with change and looking for a brighter church never happened. They are selling churches out from under the feet of the people of God these days.

I think that the lines of the lyrics of the song Pieces of Dreams best fit the conundrum of a church in search of a mission or a soul since Vatican II.
