The premise of The Americans TV show is about two Soviet agents posing as Americans in America. It is not far fetched to extrapolate on President Trump's on several occasions stating that his father Fred was born in Germany. That a KGB officer like Vladimer Putin stationed in East Germany would have been able to dig up old German Spies and old German Spy Networks posing as Americans in America.
