A few...I'm not sure what to think of this post. A few things:<br /><br />Most scholars agree that Hypatia was born between 370 and 380 AD, that would make her at most 45 when she died, I'm sure she was still quite beautiful by that age, although I agree the slave boy thing is certainly fiction.<br /><br />Carl Sagan was by no means an atheist, he was an agnostic... There is a big difference! Even so, it is well known that Hypatia was killed by a christian mob, how it was done is irrelevant.<br /><br />I also find Amenabar's sexual orientation irrelevant.<br /><br />In general terms, I find the core of the film very close to the historic accounts, the early church was all about power, and that has not changed to this day...<br /><br />I'm not an atheist, just to set the record straight...carluchoparishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03110711005076480127noreply@blogger.com
