If life hands you a "hill of beans" Timmy, make bean soup.
Dolan/Obama Boloney and Bean Chowder Recipe
1 cup large dry lima beans
4 cups water
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
1 16 ounce can tomatoes, cut up
4 ounces chunk boloney, coarsely chopped
1 cup milk
Directions
Rinse beans.
Place in large saucepan and add water.
Soak overnight. (Or, bring beans to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 1 hour.)
Do not drain.
Add dry soup mix and chicken bouillon granules.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered, till beans are tender, about 1 1/4 hours.
Add the undrained tomatoes, boloney, and milk.
Heat through, stirring occasionally.
